Three key Inter Milan players risk a suspension for the team’s Serie A clash with Napoli at the start of next month.
As today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, note, those three players are Alessandro Bastoni, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Nicolo Barella.
At the start of March, Inter take on Napoli in Serie A.
And with just two points separating the Nerazzurri and the Partenopei in the table, there is a sense that that match could be decisive for the title.
Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will certainly want to have as strong a lineup available as possible for that match.
And as the Gazzetta highlight, there is one notable risk in that regard.
Bastoni, Mkhitaryan & Barella Risk Suspension For Inter Milan Vs Napoli
Inter currently have three players who are one booking away from suspension.
Those are defender Alessandro Bastoni, and midfielders Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella.

And there is precisely one match to go before Inter face Napoli. That is against Genoa this weekend.
Accordingly, Inter coach Inzaghi will be thinking long and hard about the usage of that trio in Saturday’s match against Genoa.
With Bastoni, it may be tough to leave the Italian international out.
Carlos Augusto is Bastoni’s main backup in the squad. However, the Brazilian is a doubt for Saturday’s match due to a calf bruise.
However, Yann Bisseck could also start on Saturday, on the left of the defense in Bastoni’s place.
Meanwhile, in midfield, Piotr Zielinski and Davide Frattesi would be available as alternatives to Mkhitaryan and Barella.
The sense is that one of Mkhitaryan or Barella will drop out of the starting eleven against genoa, therefore.
