Joaquin Correa, Josep Martinez, and Kristjan Asllani will start for Inter Milan in today’s Serie A clash with Genoa.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan take on Genoa in Serie A this evening.
And the Nerazzurri will feel that taking three points is obligatory.
Inter have dropped points against the likes of AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Juventus since the start of February.
And next month, Inter face Napoli in a top-of-the-table showdown that could prove to be a title-decider.
Therefore, Inter will need a win this evening to temporarily go top of the table and put the league leaders under as much pressure as possible.
Correa, Martinez & Asllani To Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Vs Genoa
According to the Gazzetta, there will be a few notable names in Inter’s starting eleven for this evening’s match.
Firstly, in attack, it will be Joaquin Correa who starts with Marcus Thuram unavailable through injury.

That will be just the Argentine’s second Serie A start this season. He previously started in a 5-0 win away to Hellas Verona in November,
Then, in goal it is an enforced change. Yann Sommer has started between the posts every match in the league for Inter this season – however, the Swiss has just undergone surgery on a thumb injury.
Therefore, Josep Martinez will make his first Serie A start for Inter.
Lastly, in midfield, Hakan Calhanoglu has shown an alarming lack of sharpness since returning from injury at the start of February.
Therefore, Kristjan Asllani will get the nod at the base of midfield. Calhanoglu will have the chance to rest up ahead of next weekend’s clash with Napoli.
