Former Inter Milan striker Goran Pandev reveals how Simone Inzaghi was already acting as a coach while he was still a player.

The Italian tactician has now cemented himself as one of the finest managers in Italian football. He has already won six trophies since joining the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2021 and reached the final of the Champions League.

At the moment, Inter are leading the Serie A table, they’re also in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League Round of 16. Therefore, the reigning Italian champions are expected to finish the campaign with at least one trophy, just like punters who try their luck on free spins no deposit are expected to earn lucrative rewards.

However, the Nerazzurri must overcome the challenge from Napoli to prevail in the Scudetto race. But while this battle has split the nation in two, Pandev reveals he’ll be happy either way. After all, he’s enjoying watching two of his two former employers going head to head for the title.

“How wonderful it is to see two of my former teams fighting for the Scudetto,” said the North Macedonian in his interview with Il Mattino via FcInterNews.

“I’m sure that the fight will be open until the end and I hope that one of the two wins. Atalanta can also enter the fight. After exiting the Champions League and after seeing Empoli’s performance, we have to include them in the race for the title.

“Gian Piero Gasperini has a large squad and is recovering many players.”

Goran Pandev Heaps Praise on Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi

“However, Inter is Inter and if you play with that shirt, you know you always have to win. They have the strongest team with quality substitutes in all roles.

“It’s true that they had a small decline, but they are still the team to beat. They are used to winning and they know what they want”.

Before joining Inter in January 2010, Pandev was a teammate of Inzaghi at Lazio. The 41-year-old reveals how the Piacenza native was an ‘annoying’ connoisseur.

“We played together at Lazio and already at that time he was crazy about football. He knew all the players, even those in Serie C.

“He thinks about football 24 hours a day and I’m happy for him for what he’s achieving.

“Yes, he was a coach already, On the pitch, he was always annoying. He would tell me ‘You have to do this movement’, or ‘Go deep’. I was young and for me, he was a great help even just with words.”
