Nottingham Forest could hijack Roma’s attempt to sign Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Tricky Trees have laid their eyes on the unsettled Nerazzurri star.

Davide Frattesi was inches away from swapping Giuseppe Meazza for the Stadio Olimpico in January.

However, Inter pulled the plug on his departure as Simone Inzaghi didn’t want to lose a first-team star midway through the season.

Despite keeping hold of the ex-Sassuolo man by the skin of their teeth, Inter could offload him in the summer.

Frattesi remains a second-string option for Simone Inzaghi.

Therefore, the 25-year-old could push for a summer exit to secure regular first-team football elsewhere.

Although many expected him to return to his boyhood club, Roma, Frattesi could leave Serie A.
