AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao responded to Inter boss Simone Inzaghi after this week’s ‘treble’ claim.
Speaking to the press via FCInterNews, the under-pressure Rossoneri coach discussed his side’s dismal campaign.
Despite languishing in mid-table, Milan avoided defeat in both Serie A matches against Inter this season.
Indeed, they won 2-1 in September under Paulo Fonseca before conceding late in a 1-1 draw last month.
Furthermore, they claimed bragging rights in the Saudi Arabia-held Supercoppa Italiana mini-tournament.
After dispatching Juventus in the semi-finals, they stunned the Nerazzurri in the title-deciding fixture in Riyadh.
Though Inter boasted a two-goal lead after 50 minutes, Milan ran out 3-2 winners to take the trophy.
However, it has all been doom and gloom for the Conceicao’s side since returning from the Middle East.
In addition to their substantial Serie A strugglers, they’re already out of the Champions League.
Feyenoord bested Milan in their knockout playoff tie to set up a last-16 showdown against Inter.
But that will likely be their final stop in this season’s Champions League journey.
AC Milan Boss Sergio Conceicao Hits Back at Simone Inzaghi Treble Gesture
After last weekend’s 2-1 home loss to Lazio, Milan’s chances of securing a fifth consecutive top-four finish look dead in the water.
Indeed, they trail fourth-placed by 11 points and could miss out on European qualification altogether.

Despite sitting on the precipice of disaster, Conceicao doesn’t lose optimism.
“Since I arrived here, we’ve had decisive games. We shouldn’t think too far ahead.
“We have 13 left – 11 in the league and the two in the Coppa Italia.”
Then, he took a swing at Simone Inzaghi.
“Looking at Inzaghi’s statements, he said they can do the Treble, but we can win two even in a negative season.”
Inzaghi can settle the score with the former Porto manager when Inter and Milan lock horns in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

We can even claim for the treble if we change the present transfer strategy, turn to the past era policy. Bring like four young and talented (home based) Italians players, like : Tonalli, Ricci, Chiesa & Fabian, then add foreign like : Arda guller,De cuyper, Alhassan Yusuf of New England revolution and bring his compatriot from his former Nigerian academy (fc hearts Abuja) Mahmud Adams Abubakar(R9 heir) as the back up striker for the rotation. Give them adequate time to settle!! ♂️
his only achievement is to beat Inter. we lost one trophy, but are still happy to see how broken Milan are now. enjoy your cigarette, sergio
Settle the score and trash Ac milan.
Hahaha That guy is destroying Milan from within.
