Alessandro Bastoni was in the Inter Milan starting eleven yesterday evening against Monza.
For the second match in a row, the Italian international started on the left flank. He had also played at wingback against Feyenoord in midweek.

Bastoni coped well playing in the left-wingback role.
The 25-year-old had the energy to get up and down the pitch, and understood the assignment as far as picking up attacking positions when he needed to around the penalty area.

And Bastoni’s passing range and technical ability came in handy as Inter built attacks down the left side.
Meanwhile, in the second half Bastoni moved back to his more familiar left-sided centre-back after Carlos Augusto came on.
And the Italian international continued to be influential in possession. Furthermore, he looked defensively solid in both roles.
