Isak Hien, Jaka Bijol, Sam Beukema, and Mario Gila are all targets for Inter Milan in defense next summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They name the quartet as prospective replacements for Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.
Inter Milan are having to think about the future in defense.
At the moment, Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij remain important players at the back for the Nerazzurri. However, they turned 37 and 33 respectively this season.
That means that Inter can hardly rely on either for much into the future.
Therefore, Inter will be thinking about long-term replacements for the veteran duo.
Hien, Bijol, Beukema & Gila On Inter Defensive Shortlist
Naturally, Inter Milan will seek a defender with a similar profile to de Vrij and Acerbi.
That will mean a defender who is tall and physically strong. Inter want someone who can mark centre-forwards and clean up in the penalty area.

Moreover, Serie A experience would naturally be an asset.
And according to the Corriere, there are four names in particular on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist.
There would be Atalanta defender Isak Hien, already familiar with playing in a back three.
Then, all of Udinese’s Jaka Bijol, Bologna’s Sam Beukema, and Lazio’s Mario Gila are also targets for Inter, reports the Corriere.
one player who definitely hasn’t impressed me is Bijol… he’s looked like a liability whenever we’ve played against him…
He was trying to help us. lol
