Defending Serie A champions Inter Milan could go ‘all-out’ to sign Bologna center-forward Santiago Castro this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Argentine prodigy has emerged as the club’s dream target.
With Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa on their way out, Inter are in the market for a new striker.
Santiago Castro ticks all the boxes for a type of player club owners Oaktree are eager to recruit.
Inter Milan to Go for Broke to Sign Bologna Starlet Santiago Castro

Despite landing Castro less than two years ago, Bologna could sell him for a small fortune.
Indeed, it could take up to €40 million to get the Rossoblu’s go-ahead.
However, Inter could use Giovanni Fabbian as a bargaining chip.
Simone Inzaghi’s charges have an option to re-sign the Italian midfielder this summer, courtesy of a €12m buyback clause.
Yet, they could opt to let him stay at Renato Dall’Ara as part of a complex deal to sign Castro.
Oaktree would sanction the operation, given their ambition to inject fresh blood into Inter’s aging squad.
Omg just stop it.. There is no under 30 striker coming to this Inter…We have Lautaro Thuram both 28 in the summer that are 100 % starting and 2 over 30 on the bench… In case one of the starters gets injured is more playing time for the bench guys. But i m 1000% sure no striker under 30 will join,we need guys with experience that are happy to be on the bench
I’ve not seen anything from this guy “YET” to suggest he’s worth anywhere near that sort of money OR would even make the grade at inter.
Whilst I applaud the sentiment of going after younger hungrier players with huge potential growth, I fail to see how spending 40m on this lad and letting go another potential star as a make way – then placing this guy in front of the Esposito’s for example, makes any sense, both balance wise, keeping youth prospects happy and also financially.
I’d rather spend the buyback on Fabbian, sell frattesi IF he’s not going to be used.
Promote at least one of the espositos and use the rest to stegnthen the RWB backup and ideally say a Ricci to adequately backup hakan
Spot on. 100% agree
I’d be happy with either Castro or Lucca… both would give us great options up front… One of those two with Pia Esposito, and we’d be set!
I don’t know how much bargaining power Fabbian gives us- he’s been relegated to the bench this season under Italiano…
Crazy about his momma maybe
and get Dominguez too he is good to beat a player 1v1
no.. not Fabian.. he’s gonna be a star.
