Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is ready to explore the opportunity to swoop for Napoli forward Giacomo Raspadori by offering midfielder Davide Frattesi in exchange.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are keen to bring in more Italian players and will back coach Simone Inzaghi in the transfer window with players ready to slot into the first team.
Inter are not desperate to move Frattesi on but would be ready to use him to land Raspadori, with the Napoli attacker able to cover every position in the front line and being identified as an impactful addition.
Meanwhile, the impending arrival of Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb would soften the blow of offloading Frattesi, with Marotta deeming his loss worth sanctioning in order to secure Raspadori.
For his part, Frattesi is keen to move on and join boyhood club Roma, but would not turn down the opportunity to join Napoli, with Partenopei coach Antonio Conte keen to bring him in.
Indeed, Roma had sought Frattesi in January but were put off by Inter’s €45 million asking price, and the Nerazzurri feel that this value would be similar to what Napoli would demand for Raspadori.
The Italy international is also viewed as a more realistic option than Como’s Nico Paz and Real Madrid’s Arda Guler.
I’m surprised by the comments on here. It’s like no one can identify talent and prefer what we’ve been getting. Both Frattesi and Raspadori are incredibly talented players but if we were to trade I’d definitely take Raspadori. The kid can play as a second striker, winger and attacking midfielder where he doubles as a false 9. It’s like you guys don’t watch other teams apart from Inter. We literally don’t have a single player who has the skill set of Raspadori in this team. It baffles me how some of you think a striker would solve all our issues with just goals. Football don’t work like that anymore and this realization hasn’t hit home as yet it seems smh.
Yes sure… Raspadori is absolutely average, sassuollo level. He never scores, never assists… His numbers are below Dumfries.. If he doesn’t shine at Napoli, he will never be able at Inter…
I prefer bringing back Pio and adding one more striker (not raspadori of course)
Dont know how many watch the Italy vs Germany game, Buongiorno got doomed by Germany wingers and strikers. He is a good player but definitely not worth over 40M which Napoli paid 45M. De lorenzo on the other hand surprisingly performed really well on the offense.
fake news!
one useless for another useless player? I would do a swap for buongiorno. or Osimhen.
No this guy is average at best no speed physically he is lacking,
