Alexis Sanchez will not face his former club, Inter Milan, when Serie A strugglers Udinese touch down at the San Siro on Sunday.
Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old will not be at Kosta Runjaic’s disposal due to injury.
Fourteen years after leaving Udine for Barcelona, Alexis Sanchez returned to the Bluenergy Stadium last summer.
However, it wasn’t a comeback he would’ve hoped for.
Indeed, a long-term calf problem kept him on the sidelines for the entire first half of the season.
Udinese to Take On Inter Milan Without Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez had to wait until late December to make his second debut for the Friulians.
He has since tallied nine league appearances without a goal contribution.
Unfortunately, his drought will go on as he returns from Chile with another fitness issue.
Meanwhile, Runjaic hopes to have Florian Thauvin back for this daunting trip.
As for Sanchez, he proved a lucky charm for Inter in the past.
Indeed, he won the Scudetto under Antonio Conte in 2020/21 and again last season under Simone Inzaghi.
