ThInter Milan will hand goalkeeper Alessandro Calligaris a long-term contract extension.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the academy graduate will be a cornerstone of Inter’s new Under-23 team next season.
20-year-old goalkeeper Alessandro Calligaris is a graduate of Inter’s youth academy.
Calligaris is the outstanding player between the posts in his age group for the Nerazzurri.
Calligaris has yet to make his first team debut for Inter.
However, the 20-year-old has had a place in matchday squads for the Nerazzurri this season. He has been in the squad during injuries to Raffaele De Gennaro and Yann Sommer.

This season, aside from getting his first experiences in senior matchday squads for Inter, Alessandro Calligaris has also starred the club’s Under-19 or Primavera team.
But next campaign, Tuttosport report, the 20-year-old will have a different role.

Therefore, Inter plan to make Calligaris the starting keeper for their Under-23 team.
That team will be a new development for the Nerazzurri. It will be similar to the Juventus Next Gen and AC Milan Futuro sides, and will begin in Serie C.
As part of placing their faith in Calligaris, reports Tuttosport, Inter will give the 20-year-old a senior contract extension.
