Inter Milan have confirmed that striker Mehdi Taremi has suffered a thigh strain.
The Nerazzurri announce that the Iranian international underwent medical tests today. These revealed that he has suffered a strain to his left thigh.
Striker Mehdi Taremi had been expected to be in Inter’s squad for yesterday evening’s Serie A match against Udinese.
However, the Iranian international has suffered a muscle injury.
Physical problems have been a recurring issue for Taremi this season. The former Porto striker admitted that he has been dealing with them for months, and they have curtailed his form.
The issue has been a groin injury called pulbagia.
However, Taremi had a positive international break with the Iran national team.
But unfortunately for Mehdi Taremi and Inter, the 32-year-old suffered an injury.
Inter Milan Confirm Thigh Strain For Mehdi Taremi

Taremi had to pull out of the squad for yesterday’s match against Udinese.
It was not initially clear exactly why that was the case. But the 32-year-old had certainly suffered an injury.
And today, Inter confirm, Taremi underwent tests with the club’s medical staff.
And these showed that the former Porto striker has suffered a strain in his left thigh.
This could see Taremi miss a few matches. Inter face AC Milan in the Coppa Italia this week, a match that he will certainly miss.
And then it remains to be seen how many more matches the Iranian will be out for, with Inter also playing a two-legged Champions League tie against Bayern Munich this month.
Not everything that is free is good, Marotta has a habit of assuming every free player in transfer market is good for inter, a younger player in the youth team would have helped us more than Teremi, he clams he is struggling with injury and goes to his national team and score goals and what that tells me is that he is not an Inter level player. Sell him to saudis end of season or let him go for free as he is taking up our little resources
Sell him already. Promote primavera players for his role. Let them grow. He doesn’t do anything special that youngsters can’t.
Personally, I’d call it an injury blessing, rather than a blow…
