Lautaro Martinez is aiming to be in the starting eleven for next week’s Champions League first leg between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri captain will come off the bench against Parma this weekend.
Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has missed his team’s first couple matches back from the international break.
The 25-year-old picked up a thigh strain during the break. This prevented him from featuring for Argentina.
Then, Martinez has been on the sidelines for matches against Udinese and AC Milan.
However, the Corriere confirm, Martinez is very close to being able to return.

The Corriere report that Lautaro Martinez will already be able to be in the squad for Inter’s Serie A match against Parma on Saturday.
However, the newspaper anticipate, Martinez will not start that match.
Rather, the Argentine will not quite be ready to play from the first minute.
However, the Corriere report, Martinez will instead look to come off the bench against the Emilian club.
Therefore, the Inter captain will be looking to get some playing time in his legs.
That will be ahead of the massive first leg match away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinals.
