Matteo Darmian “redeemed himself” against Parma after scoring an own goal for Inter Milan in the reverse fixture.
As TuttoMercatoWeb highlight, the 35-year-old was a significant figure in the match after having had a moment to forget the first time that the two teams met this season.
When Inter faced Parma at the San Siro in December, they could not keep a clean sheet.
That was due to an own goal that Matteo Darmian had scored late in the match.
Meanwhile, Darmian was in the starting eleven this time out.
And it was a much more positive match for the Italian international on a personal level.
Darmian “Redeems Himself” For Own Goal In Parma 2-2 Inter Milan

Yesterday, Darmian had the ball in the back of the net as had been the case in the reverse meeting.
However, this time around, it was in Parma’s goal.
Darmian was the player who opened the scoring for Inter.
That goal was not enough in the end, as Inter failed to win, even after Marcus Thuram had doubled their advantage at the end of the first half.
Matteo Darmian was hardly at fault, however.
There was one moment in the first half in which Parma had exposed the veteran’s lack of pace.
And in the second half, Darmian dropped off along with the whole Inter team. He was also unlucky to deflect Jacob Ondrejka’s shot past Yann Sommer.
However, overall Darmian was one of Inter’s more positive performers.
