Simone Inzaghi is taking the blame for the subpar performance and second half collapse from Inter Milan against Parma.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, blame the Nerazzurri coach’s failed formation experiment and substitutions.
Inter Milan suffered a major setback in their Serie A title pursuit yesterday.
Having been 2-0 up at halftime against Parma, the Nerazzurri finished the match 2-2.
Inter will be feeling a bit shellshocked in wondering why they had to settle for a point in the clash at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
But according to the Gazzetta, the blame first and foremost rests at the feet of coach Simone Inzaghi.
Inzaghi Takes The Blame For Parma 2-2 Inter Milan Serie Draw

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was celebrating his 49th birthday yesterday. But in the second half of the match, he didn’t give himself much to celebrate.
The Nerazzurri coach may have been in the stands rather than on the touchline, as he served a suspension.
But it was still Inzaghi who picked Inter’s starting eleven.
And the Inter coach made an experiment. Kristjan Asllani started in holding midfield, whilst Hakan Calhanoglu moved up to a box-to-box role.
And that midfield balance never quite worked. Calhanoglu was lacking his usual effectiveness as he played higher up the pitch, and Asllani could not replicate the Turk’s influence at the base of midfield.
And that lack of control left Inter susceptible to the counterattack in the first half, even as they went 2-0 up. There were two very good Parma chances.
Then, when Parma came back into the match, the pre-ordained changes hardly helped Inter out.
In the view of the Gazzetta, Asllani should have exited the pitch rather than Calhanoglu.
And even though Lautaro Martinez was coming off to preserve his fitness in view of Tuesday’s clash with Bayern Munich, it deflated Inter’s attack.
Inter cannot aim high with subs tke likes of Asllani, Correa, Taremi, Frattesi etc . Against Parna i expected much more from Asllani and Frattesi. Stupid strategy.
.
It’s not Inzaghis fault that we don’t have proper subs.
Zielinski injured, Asllani and Frattesi abysmal, you can’t depend on neither of reserve strikers. Sommer did ok job, Bisseck subpar performance. And you still have to play on every 3-4 days.
how come he did not say that he learned something? he is always learning but never remembers anything!. why are certain people so dumb??????
yes just like you so dumb, look at inter now where are they? dont you see other teams are also struggling? dealing with so many injuries n tough n rough schedules, you think this is football manager game?
always you blame yourself yet still you keep on repeating the same mistake….why Correa ahead of Arnautovic and yet still you come out like i take the blame your subs are bad not the first nor second time but you haven’t worked on that
