Inter Milan stars Denzel Dumfries and Mehdi Taremi could be in contention for next week’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Iranian striker is on the verge of full recovery from a minor muscle injury.

Indeed, Mehdi Taremi picked up a muscular problem while on international duty with Iran last month.

Therefore, Simone Inzaghi couldn’t count on the 32-year-old in yesterday’s 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena.

Unlike Taremi, Denzel Dumfries slumped to a hamstring problem against Atalanta on the stroke of the international break.

As a result, Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman released him from the national team last month.

However, the extent of the injury has proved more damaging than initially expected.

Inzaghi could call upon his talismanic wingback in the last four games.

While Taremi will be at Inzaghi’s disposal against Cagliari next weekend, Dumfries could return to the fold against Bayern.

Indeed, he’ll likely be part of Inter’s matchday squad seven days from now.
