Inter Milan claimed an all-important 2-1 win at Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi sealed the deal for Simone Inzaghi’s side at the Allianz Arena.
As a result, Inter became the first team since PSG in 2021 to beat Bayern on their home turf in the Champions League.
Per Opta, Inter became the first Serie A club to beat the Bavarians on their home ground since 2011.
Interestingly, the Nerazzurri were the last Italian team to triumph here.
After that loss, the runaway Bundesliga leaders had won seven consecutive home games against Italian sides.
