Inter Milan claimed an all-important 2-1 win at Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi sealed the deal for Simone Inzaghi’s side at the Allianz Arena.
Notably, it was El Toro’s seventh Champions League goal this season.
Per Opta, he became the first Inter star to reach this milestone since Samuel Eto’o in the treble-winning 2009/10 campaign.
He’s now only one goal away from equaling the Cameroonian’s eight-goal tally from that season.
7 – Lautaro #Martínez is the first #Inter player with seven UEFA #ChampionsLeague goals in a season since Samuel Eto’o in 2010-11 (8). Striker.#BayernMunichInter
