One key statistic shows how tough it would be for Bayern Munich to stage a comeback against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

As Tuttosport highlight, via FCInterNews, the Bavarians have never come back in a knockout tie in the competition after losing the first leg at home.

Inter Milan got a massive win in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri beat Bayern 2-1 in the first leg of a quarterfinal tie.

That is certainly a hugely significant result. It is not, however, any reason for Inter to feel complacent.

There will be no feeling of having one foot for Inter.

And on the other hand, Bayern will believe that over ninety minutes, with a goal down they are more than capable of getting back into the tie.

But there is one notable statistic that will not make for pleasant reading for Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany and his players.

There have been plenty of memorable comebacks in Europe from Bayern.

Including in ties where the German giants have lost the first leg.

But none when that first leg was at home.

Therefore, Bayern Munich will have to do something they’ve never done before in their history if they’re to have a great night at the San Siro.
