Joaquin Correa is set to start in attack for Inter Milan in tomorrow’s Serie A match against Cagliari.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Argetine’s absence from the Champions League squad list is the decisive factor.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has a decision to make in attack tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri coach is mindful of the need to rotate his squad in view of next week’s Champions League second leg against Bayern Munich.
Therefore, Marcus Thuram will drop to the bench. Inter captain Lautaro Martinez, however, will keep his spot.
But then, there are a few possibilities as to who starts alongside Martinez,
Joaquin Correa To Start For Inter Milan Vs Cagliari

Mehdi Taremi will be back in the Inter squad tomorrow after missing a few matches with injury.
And then there is also Marko Arnautovic.
However, notably, both Taremi and Arnautovic are options against Bayern. Inzaghi will want them at their best as potential wild cards off the bench against the Bavarians.
On the other hand, Joaquin Correa is not in Inter’s Champions League squad list.
Therefore, there would be little reason to keep the 30-year-old former Lazio forward fresh for Wednesday’s match.
Accordingly, the Gazzetta report, Correa will start tomorrow. Then, Thuram, Taremi, and Arnautovic would all be options off the bench.
Can’t wait to see him play along with Asllani, Fratessi and Arnautovic…
