Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae is in contention for the starting line-up for tomorrow’s Champions League decider against Inter Milan.

According to German outlet Bild via FCInterNews, the South Korea international is not 100% fit.

However, Vincent Kompany doesn’t have the luxury of leaving the ex-Napoli center-back out of the squad.

Indeed, with Hiroki Ito and Dayot Upamecano on the sidelines, Bayern’s defensive options look alarmingly thin.

Kim started last week’s game in Munich but largely struggled to cope with Lautaro Martinez.

Nonetheless, he remains the only senior alternative alongside Eric Dier.

Kim failed to complete the whole training session yesterday.

Yet, with a lack of reliable backup options, Kompany will probably include him in his starting eleven tomorrow.

Bayern’s backline looked porous in the first leg, even with Kim at full strength.

Now that he’s not 100% ready, there should be more room for Inter’s relentless frontline.

Furthermore, Simone Inzaghi’s charges have proved well-versed in seizing every opportunity in the Champions League.

Therefore, the home fans have another reason for optimism.
