Simone Inzaghi admits that “a point would have been great” after Inter Milan’s loss to Bologna in Serie A this evening.
The Nerazzurri coach lamented the result speaking to InterTV after the match, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan will have felt that they were just about on course for a draw against Bologna this evening.
The Nerazzurri were level with Bologna heading into stoppage time. Neither team had really managed to find the decisive openings.
And a draw would not have been a terrible result for Inter.
The Nerazzurri were playing against perhaps the form team in all of Serie A. And they were doing so just a few days after a huge Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, from which the exhaustion was evident.
And a point would have meant that Inter preserved an advantage over Napoli at the top of the table. Even if only a very slender one.
Inzaghi: “A Point Would’ve Been Great” Vs Bologna

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi gave his thoughts after the final whistle at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
“It was a balanced match,” he said. “The team played a great match in my opinion.”
The Inter coach continued, “it’s a shame to lose a match like that.”
“Because in the end, a point would’ve been a great result.”
“But the league doesn’t end here in Bologna,” Inzaghi made clear. “There are still more points for us to fight for.”
“Our journey continues,” the Nerazzurri coach said. “In all competitions.”
“We move forward with confidence,” he added.
“We played football,” Inzaghi continued. “Bologna are an organized team, with great physicality.”
“They did what they wanted to do,” said the Inter coach.
“We lacked concentration on the goal. And we clearly should’ve done better.”
davide and josh are the same person LOL
Bologna cost inter the league twice!
Milan lost at San Siro but in three day somehow they will defat inter. The following clubs somehow their goals this season is to beat inter:
Ac milan, Juve and Bologna. I wish them and their fans ill wishes.
Freaking Milan lost to Atalanta but comes Wednesday, they will somehow find ways to defeat Inter just like Bologna did. It is amazing how easily inter has been defeated by losers milan and Bologna
Inzaghi teach Dimarco how to defend nah or get rid of him. His defending is a liability. His defending getting worse and it is costing the team. After three years playing with Inter he still cant defend. On top of that he is Italian and cant defend. What a waste.
Always injured always have fitness issues. He is unreliable and he cant defend. What is he doing playing for Inter?
Dimarco cant dribble, cant outrun a defender, cant defend, cant header the ball, scores one free kick in two years. So what is he good for? Just passing a ball and crossing it? So anyone can play for Inter even me. This is why I have always said Inzaghi is not a top coach because with those qualities he could never start on any top team. He is a rotational player at best and yet still because of his defending he is a liability to bring on late in big games. So really and truly he shouldnt be playing at Inter and Inzaghi needs more intelligence. Find players with more qualities.
I agree that Dimarco’s defending is very poor, but he is a very good attacking winger. He’s good on set pieces and sets up many goals. His defending certainly a serious problem.
