This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. They also report that Nicolo Barella or Hakan Calhanoglu could get a rest.
Francesco Acerbi has started in the centre of Inter’s defense for each of their last two matches.
The 37-year-old started against both Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Bologna in Serie A.
However, these have been intensely taxing matches on a physical level.
Therefore, Acerbi will get a rest this evening.

The natural replacement for Francesco Acerbi in the centre of Inter’s back three is Stefan de Vrij.
Therefore, it is little surprise that the Dutchman is expected to start against the Rossoneri this evening.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta also report that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could make changes in midfield.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will certainly start. The Armenian is serving a suspension for Sunday’s Serie A showdown with Roma, so there is little reason to rest him this evening.
