Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski will be back for Inter Milan’s Serie A clash with Roma, while Marcus Thuram will return against Barcelona.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have been without a few key players in recent matches.
Striker Marcus Thuram has missed the last two matches after suffering some muscular fatigue in last week’s Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, wingback Denzel Dumfries and midfielder Piotr Zielinski have been out with longer. They’ve been absent for more than a month with strains to their thigh and calf respectively.
And Inter have really missed these players. Particularly across the last couple matches.
Inter lost to Bologna in Serie A and AC Milan in the Coppa Italia in their two most recent matches.
These fixtures really put the squad depth to the test.
The likes of Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa have not convinced in place of Thuram. Meanwhile, veterans Matteo Darmian and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have had to put in overtime.
Dumfries & Zielinski Back For Inter Vs Roma Clash – Thuram Back Vs Barcelona

According to the Gazzetta, Dumfries and Zielinski are ready to make their returns.
After more than a month out each, the Dutch and Polish internationals can be available for Inter’s next match.
The Nerazzurri host Roma in Serie A this weekend.

It’s a slightly different story for striker Marcus Thuram, however.
The Frenchman is not far away from a return either. However, the Gazzetta anticipate that he will not be back to face the Giallorossi on Sunday.
Rather, the aim will be to have Thuram back for next Wednesday’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Barcelona.
