Inter Milan’s players have racked up a whopping 15,000 more minutes than those of their Serie A title rivals Napoli this season.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, detail the dramatic difference in playing time.
Inter Milan and Napoli are the two teams still seriously vying for the Serie A title.
And the Nerazzurri and the Partneopei have had starkly contrasting seasons in one notable respect.
Inter have been playing constantly in multiple competitions.
Apart from their Serie A commitments, Inter have played twelve Champions League matches already. And they will play at least two more.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also played four Coppa Italia matches, and twice in the Supercoppa Italiana.
Napoli, by contrast, played just one match outside the league. They failed to get past the round of sixteen of the Coppa Italia, losing to Lazio.
Inter Squad Has Played 15,000 More Minutes Than Serie A Title Rivals Napoli

As the Gazzetta notes, Inter’s squad have racked up 50,416 minutes this season in total.
For Napoli, by contrast, that number of 35.640.
This certainly helps to explain why Inter have looked by far the more tired-looking team of the two.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta note that apart from goalkeeper Yann Sommer (3870 minutes), the Inter player to have played the most minutes this season is Alessandro Bastoni, with 3455.
However, Lautaro Martinez should soon overtake Bastoni. The latter will not play against Roma this weekend due to suspension, whilst captain Martinez has already played 3435 minutes.
There are also three other Inter players to have logged more than three thousand minutes.
These are Nicolo Barella (3242 minutes), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (3200), and Marcus Thuram (3004).
Math is wrong.
