Marcus Thuram will be part of the Nerazzurri squad for Wednesday’s Champions League semifinal first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the Frenchman will be called up, even if he is not necessarily at 100% match-fitness.
Inter Milan have one absolutely crucial fitness issue ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Barcelona.
That concerns the availability of striker Marcus Thuram.
The last time that the France international played was also in the Champions League. He played all ninety minutes of Inter’s quarterfinal second leg against Bayern Munich.
However, that match took its toll on Thuram, physically.
The 27-year-old suffered some muscular fatigue in his thigh. This saw him miss matches against Bologna and AC Milan. He will also be absent against Roma this afternoon.
Marcus Thuram Back For Barcelona Vs Inter Milan First Leg

Marcus Thuram is still working on an individual training program.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach striker is aiming to be at his best for Wednesday’s match.
And a return is not too far away for Thuram.
The Gazzetta report that Thuram has been ramping up the intensity of his training.
The 27-year-old wants to be in the squad against Barcelona at all costs.
Therefore, Thuram will get the call-up, his first since the match against Bayern.
