Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Marko Arautovic in attack against Roma. This afternoon’s Serie A matchday 34 clash kicks off at 15.00 CET.
Inter Milan take on Roma in Serie A this afternoon.
And there is a feeling that this will be an absolutely crucial match at the top end of the table.

For Inter, firstly, three points are absolutely vital to keep the pressure on Napoli in the title race.
Meanwhile, a result this afternoon would be a huge boost to Roma’s hopes of a top four finish.
Therefore, it is little surprise to see both Inter coach Inzaghi and Roma boss Claudio Ranieri go all-out with strong starting elevens.
Carlos Augusto & Davide Frattesi Start

First of all, it is Yann Sommer who starts in goal for Inter, little surprise.
Then, in defense Nerazzurri coach has made up for the suspension of Alessandro Bastoni by starting Carlos Augusto on the left of Inter’s back three.
The Brazilian starts alongside Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard at the back.

In midfield, meanwhile, there is also a notable change. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is absent through suspension like Bastoni, and Davide Frattesi takes his place.
Therefore, Frattesi completes the midfield trio alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.
And then on the flanks, Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian keep their places.
Marko Arnautovic Leads The Line

Lastly, in attack Inzaghi makes another notable selection.
Marcus Thuram is still absent, having missed Inter’s last couple matches due to a muscle problem.
Therefore, 36-year-old Austrian international Marko Arnautovic starts in attack. He leads the line alongside Lautaro Martinez, getting the nod over Joaquin Correa and Mehdi Taremi.
Meanwhile, Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski are both back, having been sidelined by muscle injuries for more than a month each.
However, neither Dumfries nor Zielinski could start. Both could instead feature off the bench.

Inzaghi also needs to be sack his tactics is finished and also he can’t read games and do proper substitutions, playing the same formation over and over all season Inzaghi time is up we need another coach.
Oaktree should sack Marotta with his free transfer policy he has disappointed them for losing all the three trophies they should sack him and get another president who would manage the team well and get us quality players.
He’s been doing perfectly what he’s been told.
Marotta does not inject the capital, still he managed to improve a lot our squad with little to no budget.
Hopefully Barca will win against inter 7-0 Napoli is officially the champion!
so what happens gradually Inter must operate in line as others most richest Italian clubs, like Juventus, Milan, Napoli.
inter have players with biggest salaries in the league so it must be obvious why Inter was on top of the league. But over time those players become older, so hardly can compete on 3 or 4 fronts.
same happens to Milan in terms of so many changes. You must have some even keel situation – no too old and not too unexperienced players.
still Inter have a lot of fighting for in this season.
They should quit already, Napoli is the winner and Braca will beat inter 5-0 Hopefully more
Inzaghi is a good coach, but to become a great one you must be open to different ideas(tactics) or listen to others with far more experience. sturbornly sticking to 352tactic every match makes you very predictable. tossing the back horizontally – back pass to gk 20 times per min makes you too slow, predictable to respond to your opponent when you are 1 or 2 goals down. no creative and fast players just kick and follow football. dimarco is not creative and he is slow. media and some legends should stop hyping these players. i see no reason why inter allowed tajoon to leave for loan some how mysterious. I miss perisic and hakimi!
Not surprised by this match or the past few weeks. Dead tired is no way to play. Far too many games given the depth of the squad. Inter will win nothing this year except huge financial gains. Those gains must be spent on new players if not next year will be far worse. Transfer window is a mess with the silly World Club Championship nonsense. Inter will play nearly 60 matches with no time to recover before new campaign. 6 or 7 new players will take time to adapt and by November the season will be lost. ACMilan will be next year’s Napoli, playing once a week. If by some miracle they win UCL and ownership views it as the team is fine and makes no changes then we all are in for long 25-26 season. 4th spot will be the goal. disappointed but not surprised at all
We need two powerful, hard-working midfielders, one of them defensive. The likes of Ederson, Tonali, Hugo Larsson. A dribbling striker who can play as SS too, e.g. Matheus Cunha. A fast, dribbling wing-back and a tall, strong CB capable of high-quality marking to play at the center. These would cost money, but unless big money is invested, we can’t keep winning trophies every season.
Well said!
I think now it’s absolutely clear which players are not at Inter’s level. Inzaghi must be bold and make some changes. Players can’t consistently make so many costly mistakes yet pretend as if nothing happen. BIsseck must not play in defence no matter what. Dumfries coming back is a big boost and now I’m only hoping for a decent match against Barcelona going through is just near impossible with the this mentality.
your pointing at the problems but what about the suggested solutions? dont play bisseck who else would play???? Inzaghi is doing wonders with what he has at his disposal.
The Scudetto is not lost yet, I doubt Napoli will win all their 5 remaining games. What is clear though is that we can’t beat Barca, and a thrashing by them is not to be ruled out.
The scudetto has lost; Napoli is the winner, They thrashed Torino so far 3-0 Hopefully barca will beat inter.
Bisseck, Frattesi, Asslani, Zielinski, Taremi, De Vrij if he wants, Arna, Taremi, Correa, all need to be gone. If we get 50 m for Calha also him i would sell. So much investment is needed in this squad. This summer will be crucial for the future. We got Sucic, but we need to replace all the deadwood from the club. Also Inzaghi didnt really proved that he can handle the most important matches. I would bring another coach even Inzaghi made wonders with this shitty squad. However the most important games he is lost.
poor inzaghi… all big clubs want him while his inter fans dont wsnt him.. ironic isnt it
I bet most fans still want him at Inter. Now we see the “told-you-so” kind of fans, of some darker kinds of psyche, gloating in the self-perceived victory in being “right”. Peverted really, if you ask me….
Say what you want, i told already 3 times we will not win the scudetto unfortunatelly. This is not something i or some other Interista wants, its basic common sense and with this play it was obvious like i said already in November.
Who wants him? Some Saudi club and Man Utd which is a joke changing coaches like underwear. Be realistic clown boy
calling me a clown yet your the one coming out of a circus.
And yet you can f*** off now
Correct but in recent matches no one player has been so effective in hurting Inter than Bisseck. Other than Correa who is expected to be bad Bisseck tops the list
If you asked me two months ago, I was hoping for a deep run in UCL and had no expectations of scudetto given that Napoli only had one game a week. Then Inter was top of the league for few weeks and myself and probably other fans lost touch with reality and started dreaming treble dreams lol
Overall, I am satisfied with the season and we could still finish it with a bang if we manage a good tie against Barcelona or if Napoli bottles scudetto
Loser mentality
And you obviously have a winner mentality, keyboard warrior – you can try as hard as you can, but you are not in a position to change anything 😉
One more defeat (against barca) will complete the zero tituli week. Boring and predictable play. Useless possession because players lack ideas and not on the same page.
my heart is aching soooo badly i swear… despite that i am proud of everyone’s work aside from the management who did not invest in january. it was obvious we needed reinforcements for the rotation role.
i dont want to mention the names who underperformed in our current rotation role. I can name atleast 4.
anyways ALWAYS win or lose ill support these fckers.
That’s it, the scudetto is lost yet again.
This team is checked out physically and mentally.
4 winless games – 3 at home! That’s unacceptable whatever the excuse is.
I said we had to do whatever it takes to win one trophy because that’s all that matters for a big club. This could be the most devastating season in our history: choking in coppa semi, ucl semi and handing the league over with 4 games to go.
Pathetic smh
the only good thing today is, we may just allow roma to keep merdentus out of Europe next year.
If they’re not careful, Barcelona will decide the match in the first game. It looks like the season is over. I don’t see Inter getting past Barça, no.
Bisseck and Fratesi are horrible. I think it serves Inzagui right to stop insisting on them. Otherwise, the title is practically in Napoli’s hands. Another pathetic performance by the team.
Who do u want inzaghi to bring of the bench? not like we have soliba and mbappe on our bench. u want to be pissed off, be against Oaktree and the management.
Inzaghi must find a solution Bisseck is not a defender that can be relied upon. Like never a defender
too many inter falls neglected by ref
hi boot from ikone on barella is a red card.
two pulls from angelino on dumfries. and one pull from ndicka on bisseck inside the box. atleast one of these calls could have gone our way.
nonethless the energy was not present within the team.
Ref is a fucking disgrace
For the all season Inter cannot beat a team in 5th position. Next we will need fresh air, player like Correa, Arna, Acerbi, Mikki even Inzaghi need to go.
that’s why we don’t deserve the title
I think Inzaghi did a really good job, just only one thing I really dont like. Clearly Lauti cant hit ball right the whole game, and absolutely under perform(fatigue maybe), but he is still afraid to sub him out. This may affect to Barca game.
problem is we do not have a bench.. exactly the reason our first team has to play twice every week , and by now we have played 53 games this year!
if it is not inter, i bet two penalties against dumfries. refs really happy when they dont want inter to win anything
Not seen such a bent Italian ref in a while
He gave an early yellow to keep people off the scent, since which had given us absolutely nothing.
We are collapsing like a deck of cards this season smh.
I said many times Martinez (goalie) bisseck and asslani are not good enough for this team yet they played many times and in decisive games to prove my point.
Also it don’t help that inzaghi’s mad squad rotations didn’t stop: it don’t matter if a player is tired, you always play your best players unless they’re injured or suspended.
3–5-2 is outdated and most teams have figured us out but since Inzaghi is too stubborn to change we pay the price. Many games instead of changing tactics he just subs position for position. Bilan beat us 3-0 by switching to a 3-4-3 tactic but we never change.
I’m not saying is a bad coach but he’s not a great one that many seem to believe.
Frattesi and Zielinski too are not Inter material. The team needs serious investment this summer.
I predicted last year that Inter would have trouble this season. It was obvious towards the end of the last season that other teams were learning how to play us, and our playing style was becoming too predictable.
As much as I agree about lack of depth and I’m just not inzaghis biggest fan
It’s clear that he has had no option but to rotate with so many games, injuries, fatigue etc
Hopefully the owners get the point that investment in youth / pace and not just “potential” but players that can make the grade NOW are needed
We need a proper number 9, a speedy winger, a decent sub for hakan and a defensive CB who can play off both sides.
You are right in your comment.
up until 75 minutes the players cannot step up after the lost against bologna. the only fault inzaghi made was if he wanted to lose or draw, he should make many changes at that game. but we dont have good players available, esp on the attack, it’s like much much better if we have the garder come back from his retirement. but what can we do except accepted the lost and f555king move on.
Yes we suck, yes we are tired, yes we have no real plan b
But man this ref
Agree.
I dont know if the fatigue hit hard or mental issue, but our front line today is really horrible performance, cant even hit the ball right……..But it is what it is…. Best chance is Dumfries so far~~
i hope dumfries and zalewski make good changes and win this match
dumfries header on goal
lautaro and barella just waste chances.
Solointer, here we go. Dumfries in field. Half fit.
that f555king easy to shoot into our goal, while our shoots got blocked too many times. wtf is happening??!!
Lack of sharpness, low athleticism, poor technique, and weak defence…
it’s seen several times. poor vision from frattesi
Frattesi should be sold. He is not Inter material and has proven it beyond doubt. He scores a few goals, but in big teams you can’t have a place just because of it. His overall game is midtable level.
Been like that all season.
and they believe they will beat Barca at san siro LOL LOL LOL I guess Inzaghi’s talent is gone he is a 3-4 years managers thats all. Don’t expect any trophy next season too! Roma from a relegation spot to beating inter LOL
Don’t mind these guys.. They’ll call you a trolley when the handwriting on the wall is clear as day
.. Ooh well.. Forza inter… Forza serie a…
mind you, Barca are a young side… Serie a folks rate age and experience over merit and common sense…
just seen the goal…
I say it every time he plays, and that’s exactly what I mean.
Bisseck stood still, soule walks right by him and completely unmarked passes the ball in.
He CANNOT defend!!! That’s his only job.
He’s also on the wrong side of the box, he causes complete confusion and is always out of position, when he is in position he can’t win a header and just reacts so slowly.
He puts in one decent tackle against Leao and people say he’s great, but they neglect everything he is doing to cost us goals and unbalance the side.
Why are we not bringing on de vrij when pavard goes down OR move darmian back and bring on zalewski ♂️
I don’t think even with a full strength side we have a chance at any trophies now, victims of our own success too old a squad, system demands too much and we have zero pace to play on the break which is how we are set up.
A few higher quality subs, and some actual pace and we are still a decent side.
Forza inter!! ALWAYS!!!
Things are falling apart, boys. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. We have been playing well below last season’s level for the entire season, yet we made it this far. We might go trophyless and that’s the reality. I’m still proud of what the team has achieved in CL even though it might’ve cost us Serie A. That said, I will continue to support the team and hope for the best on this game (which is not looking good). For all true Interisti, don’t allow the trolls and the negativity from other fans get to you. It sucks ending the season this way but it is what it is. You can’t win them all, unfortunately.
You went from chanting for treble and attacking others who were criticising inter genuinely and kept making excuses every-time inter wins by luck to. trophyless LOL Finally you came to your senses. It is sad, inter had the chance to win at least one trophy and now zero and total embarrassment. Of course you may still come up with low IQ excuses and say (oh inter had injuries). Barca had injuries yet they already won 2 trophies and will beat inter to win the third one CL. It is time to rebuild inter. Even bilan is doing better.
When did I mention the treble? I criticized your stupidity for saying things like Bayern will win 3-1 or Napoli beating Bologna 7-0 after Inter not winning their prior game or going down on a game we ended up winning anyways. Your commentary is obnoxious and borderline retarded. In no way are you making a geniune critique of Inter, you’re just spewing bullshit to get under people’s skin.
Don’t respond to him. He is here to troll; the more you respond, the more he will troll.
You’re right.
The only thing he wants is attention and reactions. If we all ignore him, he will get bored and go to troll somewhere else. Whenever you see people who come here just to say bad words about Inter, ignore them.
How about focusing on beating Roma instead of attacking me? We cannot even win against roma in San Siro LOL
Unless Inzaghi becomes versatile with his formations and style of play we will continue to suck. Man is stuck in the 1900s
When you have CBs and wingbacks joining the attack constantly, and Midfielders switching positions with defenders, how can you say the formation is not versatile. We play with a 3-5-2 on paper but it becomes fluid when the games start. It might not look like it on this game, but that’s more to due with player tiredness than stale tactics.
We don’t play with any wingers or players who can take on their opposition one on one regardless of our positional changes during games. Creatively we suck and there is no viable solution in sight for the next 2+ years with Inzaghi until he’s gone. I have accepted Inter playing like this but that won’t stop the complaints
Exactly. I cannot understand why he refuses changing Fratesi position. It is clear playing in this position we are playing 10 vs 11.
Where would you play Fratessi? He did very good in that position last season but regressed this season.
In Arnatauvic position
We don’t look like scoring and the worst part is AS Roma looking more hungrier and winning every 50/50 ball
Napoli 3 Torino 1 I am almost sure 99%
Inter is out of Gas. Just notice how Barca players were running yesterday, we are no match.
even barella lost his creativity..
not only him, all players. they all the way need directions..
lautaro is getting mad.
it’s not good, we are really under pressure.
I hope a moment in the dressing room change our players mentality.
Lucky we got Cristante on our side, should be another 2 gold opportunities for Roma.
we still brainless in front of their goalie
inter players so far are miserable. they play headless, keep losing the ball, inaccurate passes, unmotivated (seen from some players faces), and lack of shooting chances.
organization of play is very poor if we compare to the beginning of this season. and I hate this happen around the end of this season.
hate to say this, but i hate that our defence bastoni-acerbi-pavard that usually play brillianty with high IQ someday will be replaced by a (now) brainless bisseck. i cannot accept that.
our striker also lack of shooting chances. lautaro shoots accuracy indeed poor.
I have no idea. big changes in mentality seen after 2-2 draw with munich.
Conte will win today no matter what. Inter gifted the scudetto again! WOW
Solointer, we need your optimistic comments.
Unfortunately I don’t see it. Inter not just playing with a player down with two players down. Darmian and attack and Bisseck in defence.Only if those two players raise their level Inter winning this match is difficult. Inzaghi might not have a choice but to play Dumfries half fit
Zero Trophy!!!!!
Napoli, Bilan and Barca won
Inter went from treble LOL to zero!
I will make everyone mad, so hopefully Barca will beat us 5-0. Even Roma is better than inter!
the lack protection of shot from range or pass from range is really hurt us. I believe that is how we concede goals from Bayern for all the 3 goals, and 1 of Milan game too. Definitely need improve on that if we try to win over Barca.
the defence is scrambling piece by piece every single match. we run a club by oldies, gas will soon catch up. we depend so much on them if they are not performing well, we are gonna be doomed.
wtf is happening. i bet venezia can play much better than us.
It is age but also lack of hunger for success. Some of the players don’t look much interested in putting their best effort.
Well well well… From aspiring to win the treble to possibly going trophyless….
Nice to see you here. Is it a coincidence that you only show your face when things aren’t going well?
Bruno is delusional, ignore him.
Pointing out your stupidity isn’t being delusional.
okay, understood. the title is gone.
and the CL too. They wanted to win everything with average players they ended up losing everything. Even ac bilan who according to most of you is a mid table won won easily today. Wow Roma is better than inter when they were on the verge of relegation a few months ago!
We don’t say tha AC Milan is a mid table team. The standings say so.
This should be Paulo’s dream starting lineup, no Correa, no Miki, no Bissek. Let’s go for it boys!!!! Good luck!!
Oh and no Asllani
You were saying –
I will be watching him like a hawk,
he has a good game,
Its funny that some ppl here talkong about sacking Inzaghi and Marotta. Inzaghi is not great coach bla bla.. Then who is the great coach? Pep, Ancelotti, Klopp? Or maybe Mou, Allegri, Amorim, else? Look what happen to them now. Thats the dynamic of footbal, it is very complicated. Look at the schedule and injuries. Every players is tired, physicallcy and mentally. We the supporters just have to keep support them.
Forza Inter
After a very bad week of two straight losses, last one devastating, we need to win this one for our morale.
If we don’t win this game, I fear the scudetto is lost because Napoli have only easy games and it’s in their hands while we have harder games plus two barca games. Today’s game is psychologically important, we need to bounce back. Come on Inter!!!! Forza
