Federico Dimarco has come under fire for yet another subpar performance for Inter Milan in yesterday’s Serie A loss to Roma.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, argue that the Italian international looked incapable of holding down his left flank.
Federico Dimarco got the start for Inter Milan on the left flank against Roma yesterday.
The 27-year-old has often been a key player for really making the Inter system tick.
And Dimarco did have a few positive moments yesterday.
These all came in attack, as the Italian had a couple unsuccessful efforts on goal and linked up with teammates early on in the match.

However, it was at the other end of the pitch that Federico Dimarco really struggled.
The 27-year-old looked off the pace of the match. He was not getting back quickly enough to help out in defense when Roma would throw numbers forward in attack.
Therefore, it was not a coincidence that Roma’s winning goal came down Dimarco’s side of the pitch.
As has become evident in recent weeks, the defensive side of the game has been falling off significantly in some of Dimarco’s performances.
Come Nerrazuri much love from South Africa ❤️✌
