Matteo Darmian looked “tired” in his performance for Inter Milan in yesterday’s Serie A loss against Roma.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Matteo Darmian was once again in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Roma yesterday.
Denzel Dumfries was back from injury. However, the Dutchman was only just making his return, so he was not quite ready to return to the starting eleven for the Nerazzurri.
Accordingly, it was once again Darmian who took his place in the lineup.
The former Manchester United and Torino veteran had the task of holding down the right flank in the 3-5-2 system, as he has match in and match out for weeks now.
Matteo Darmian “Tired” In Inter Milan 0-1 Roma Serie A Loss

In the view of Tuttosport, the toll that all these matches has taken on Matteo Darmian was clearly evident yesterday.
Just keeping up with the pace of the match proved a difficult task for the Italian international.
There were no major errors from Darmian.
However, the 35-year-old was unable to run at the space between Angelino and Evan Ndicka. He did not have the energy to push up the pitch and make any significant contributions near the penalty area.
On the couple occasions Darmian did get forward, his crosses were sloppy.
And by the time he came off for Dumfries, Darmian looked out of gas. The veteran’s first touch was starting to get away from him.
