Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has opened up on his current emotional state as his playing career nears its end.
During his latest press conference via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old admitted he embraces every opportunity to play.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the Nerazzurri late in his career.
Indeed, he swapped Roma for Giuseppe Meazza in 2022 at the age of 33.
However, the veteran star has rolled back the years in Milan, becoming one of the most influential figures in the locker room.
Despite entering the autumn of his career, the former Manchester United ace still appreciates every moment on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi will likely include him in the starting eleven tomorrow night when Inter meet Barcelona.
The Armenian addressed the press ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg.
Inter will take the field under tremendous pressure after losing three domestic matches on the trot.
Inter Milan Star Henrikh Mkhitaryan Happy to Do What He Loves

“I’ve been in different countries and gone through difficult times in my life,” Mkhitaryan claimed. “I’m happy to be where I am now.”
Furthermore, he has learned to value every moment after losing his father early in his life.
Unfortunately, Mkhitaryan’s dad passed away at 33 from a brain tumor.
“Experience, moments, the problems you face, the chance to come out on top in a competition,” he continued.
“Life doesn’t stop, I move forward. I’ll face other problems, just need to understand how to find solutions and how to make things work.”
Moreover, Mkhitaryan explained how he grew to appreciate little things in life.
“I wake up every morning thinking it’s another great chance to play football,” the midfielder added.
“I’ve learned it’s better to always smile, be happy, and stay positive.
“I’m the happiest man because I get to do what I loved as a child, that’s my happiness.”
