Hansi Flick has confirmed that Robert Lewandowski will start on the bench in tomorrow’s Champions League clash between Inter Milan and Barcelona.
The Blaugranas coach spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, ahead of the semifinal second leg.
Barcelona take on Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals tomorrow.
And there is one particularly notable name in the Blaugranas squad for the match.
Striker Robert Lewandowski has travelled with the Barcelona team to Milan.
Therefore, the Pole will be available in a matchday squad for the first time since he suffered a thigh injury during a league match against Celta Vigo in April.
On the other hand, defenders Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde are unavailable.
With Lewandowski just returning to fitness, there are naturally questions about how much of a role the former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker will play.
However, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has provided a notable update.
Flick: “Lewandowski Will Be On The Bench” For Inter Vs Barcelona Second Leg

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said of Lewandowski’s fitness that “I think it’s better for him to start the match on the bench.”
“After the time he’s missed due to injury, it’s not ideal for him to start.”
“But he’s fine,” Flick said of Lewandowski’s condition.
Meanwhile, Flick noted that “It’s not my first time at the San Siro.”
“I experienced a match between Inter and Bayern Munich that ended 1-3 as a player, a long time ago,” noted the Barcelona coach. “As well as a match against Milan.”
And Flick said that “I’d like to see my team enjoy themselves.”
“A Champions League semifinal is not a matter of pressure. I hope the team enjoys themselves, and remains united.”
Meanwhile, Flick said that Barcelona will have to “correct certain things” tomorrow. “And adapt to the players we’re up against.”
is not what Robert Lewandowski (9) can do on the field. Is all about mind and actions of defenders of the oposite team. They know RL9 need only few minutes to score 3,4 or 5 goals and he did it in the past , so they must look at him always but that will be good for Ropha , Yammmmmmmma and others. GO BARCA !!!!
Yeah, fearing the enemy is not pro athlete does. Especially if they sit in bench and barely fit. Its works for noob tho.
