Barcelona star midfielder Pedri slammed referee Szymon Marciniak after last night’s Champions League defeat at Inter Milan.
During his post-match interview via FCInterNews, Pedri urged UEFA ‘to investigate’ the Polish official.
Szymon Marciniak’s performance at San Siro was scandalous.
And that’s a generous description, considering he needed VAR to bail him out in several crucial moments.
However, Marciniak’s decisions affected both teams.
For instance, had it not been for VAR’s intervention, Inter wouldn’t have gotten a penalty for a clear foul on Lautaro Martinez.
Moreover, Barcelona would’ve had a chance to go 3-2 up from a non-existing spot-kick.
Yet, Pedri may have a point.
Marciniak’s decision not to book Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a cynical tackle on Lamine Yamal was dubious.
That’s particularly significant when factoring in the Armenian was already on a yellow card.
Therefore, the young gun lost it after the game, calling UEFA to take measures against the 44-year-old.
Barcelona Star Pedri Slams Szymon Marciniak After Inter Milan Loss

“It’s not the first time this has happened to us with this referee,” Pedri said. “UEFA should investigate.
“There are things I don’t understand and are hard to explain. All the 50-50 calls went their way.
“On the penalty incident with Lamine Yamal, which was later ruled a foul, he didn’t book Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who would’ve been sent off.”
Despite losing in controversial circumstances, Pedri was proud of Barcelona’s display at San Siro.
And frankly, he had every reason, as Inter progressed by the skin of their teeth.
“I’m proud of the team,” Pedri continued. “A little disappointed because we managed to come back from a very unfavorable result.
“It’s very cruel. It’s true that the team gave everything and deserved to reach the final.
“However, we’re young and we have to learn from this experience, and next year we’ll fight even harder.
“Now we lick our wounds, but starting tomorrow we have to focus on Real Madrid because the league title is at stake.”
men vs boys
o typical youngsters. you can protest like that when you have been playing in a club that people blast all of these years in a favor of refs (as we know who the “belladona” played for that club).
but they turn blind eyes for controversies all these years
Barcelona are such a bad losers. They always cry and look for some lame excusses when they lose. And their fans are a bunch of total football ignorants who have no clue about football.
They eliminated Benfica and Dortmund (both teams average at best) and started fantasizing about CL glory. Besides playing La Liga is much easier than Serie A. Barcelona only have to play Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid twice a season and the other 17 teams are complete cr@p. They have 4 hard games and the other 34 games are against teams like Monza or Empoli.
For some reason Barcelona are always overhyped and everything about them is always so exaggerated.
Our players were tired, fatigued and some of them played despite not being fully recovered from injury. And we still manage to beat them fair and square. To be honest, if we faced them with full team rested and in good form, we would easily beat them 4-0.
This Barca is overrated. Without Yamal they look like they miss the entire team.
Some of our fans fell for that though. We had Young Micropenis and InterFan75 glazing over Barcelona. Even Paulo said that we simply weren’t good enough to beat them. It’s incredible how much the media can manipulate the public’s opinion. Don’t get me wrong. Barcelona is a great team and they play great attacking football with high intensity, They play the type of football that would please your average/casual football fan (non-stop attack). That said, their defense is atrocious and this was evident against Benfica in the group stage and against Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final second leg. They even let a Madrid back into the game in the Copa del Rey final. The only real test they had was Bayern (which they passed with flying colors beating Bayern 4-1) but other than that, they didn’t do much in the CL (they beat Benfica and Dortmund in the knockout stage). Also, before yesterday’s match, they started losing 5 out of their last 6 games. The fact that they were able to come back is impressive, but their defense was being exposed even by small teams in La Liga.
Barca players always whining and making excuses. Inter won this game fair and square.
don’t forget what happened at the end of 1st extra time. They’re accustomed to being helped by the ref. That’s all
also don’t forget inigo spit that went unpunished
and Cubarsi foul to Lautaro in the box that deserves red.
Also their second goal came off that foul where Bastoni actually hit the ball.
that had already implanted in my brain to accuse every single brain rot who comes from that so called fans
