Inter Milan have managed a “miracle on a shoestring budget” considering the numbers behind their run to the Champions League final.
As the Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter spent transfer fees totalling just €291.3 million.
Inter Milan have reached the final of the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri knocked the likes of Feyenoord, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona along the way. They also secured impressive results against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal in the league phase.
Inter will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the final at the end of May.
This is the second time in the space of three seasons that Inter have reached the Champions League final.
Remarkable Numbers Behind Inter Run To Champions League Final

As the Corriere note, Inter have not spent much on their current squad.
The total transfer fees that the Nerazzurri have paid on players currently in the squad come to just €291.3 million.
By contrast, Inter’s opponents in the final PSG have spent around €700 million.
Meanwhile, the Corriere note, of the last twenty finalists, only two have spent less.
One is Inter Milan themselves, when they reached the final in the 2022-23 season.
Then, Atletico Madrid in the 2016 also assembled their squad more cheaply than Inter this time around.
And yet, most people on here think Inzaghi is a clueless coach…. think we know who the clueless ones are….
We’ve been saying it since he arrived. But these guys only focus on the amount spent on players and on the arriving players’ age. Inzaghi kept building on what Conte started and has done even better than expected, especially in Europe.
Conte did not start anything… give credit to Spalleti.. he got us out of the banter era and back to the champions league. conte came and emptied our bank accounts, and relied from the worst merdentus and bilan teams in ages to win the serie a. Don’t know y ppl still consider the farce cunt-e as a hero.
Fully agree about Conte! Spent every penny we had, and then abandoned ship as soon as a player was sold… never wanted the Juve dick in the first place… Grazie for the Scudetto, but glad you left…. don’t see why a manager who can only function if you give him a massive transfer budget, and 1 competition to compete in, is held in such high regard….
You’re right. I have to give credit to Spalleti. I guess I said that about Conte because the squad was completely changed for him and he started the 3-5-2 system that we’re currently playing on. We should still give credit to Conte for ending the Juventus reign of terror in Serie A (they still had Ronaldo at the end of the day, I wouldn’t call it the worse Juve of recent times).
I feel the same way as you guys since he ditched us as soon as things didn’t go his way.
2 Champions league finals in 3 years is unbelievable!! we are the club with the 14th highest turnover in the teams competing…. Bravo Inzaghi!!
In 2023 we reached the final out of luck. In the group phase we had a Barca in crisis, and in the knockout stages Porto, Benfica and Milan.
On the other hand, this year we have fully proven we are a final-worthy team by beating Barca, BM and Arsenal, and I have a lot of trust the guys will win.
Luck?? Got through the group of death. Bayern was totally insane that year, Barca won La Liga – we were responsible for the Barca crisis, so to speak. Our stats were only challenged by City, ever so slightly!
luck? do u even know football? UCL is tough, give respect when it’s due. no such things as luck or coincidences, only wins or loses. remember we used to lose against this “lucky” team.
If you ask Jordan Peterson, he will argue that the web is dominated by the darker tetrad. These make themselves seen and heard by their more extreme behavior. So, the internet is per se dominated by narcissists and psychopaths wishing to create disharmony. The more “normal” psyche is less likely to take part in such extreme dialogue.
They win by being mentioned, so stop talking about them in general terms. You will not achieve your goal by voicing your discontent.
