Inter Milan are ready to spend big during the summer transfer window with the cash they’ve raked in from the Champions League.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
The summer transfer window is very nearly upon Inter Milan.
And the Nerazzurri will know that they need to revamp what is an aging squad.
However, despite the high average age of the squad, this current Inter team still have something left in the tank. This has resulted in another run to the Champions League final.
And with these performances in Europe, Inter have also brought in a big financial windfall.
The Nerazzurri have already earned €133 million in UEFA prize money. That is before considering gate receipts from Champions League matches.
As the Gazzetta highlight, 40% of all of Inter’s revenues this season have come from the Champions League alone.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri could make it even more if they beat Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
Inter could bring in an additional €10.5 million with a win in Munich on the 31st.
Inter Milan To Spend Big With Champions League Money

All of this extra cash will certainly be useful for Inter in approaching the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri have already confirmed the arrival of midfielder Petar Sucic at the end of the season.
And Inter are also in talks to sign Luis Henrique from Marseille. The French club are still holding out for a fee of €30 million.
However, Inter certainly are not going to stop there.
Far from it, the Nerazzurri will look to make signings throughout the spine of the team. From central defense to centre-forward.
And Inter will be able to outlay sizable transfer fees considering the cash they’ve raked in from the Champions League.
Inter needs a large squad for 2 leagues , we see this year in the end we had no power for scudetto.
Can’t see it – you don’t get yourself out of a massive financial hole by spending a bunch as soon as you get any.
I also don’t think that throwing money around is the right way to go, we need to invest in some younger potential players (and no I don’t mean asllani / bisseck) levels, I mean proper young talent.
That can both help us immediately and turn a profit on sales.
We shouldn’t turn our back on the marotta magic of some older free transfers too, it’s all about balance.
Forza inter
you are not making sense at all . we need to offload the ageing players with younger ones and it requires money, we can not be like arsenal. pls let the club spend money but wisely on quality players. This is right time to do it: expecially if we are able to win the champions league and scudetto. we should not repeat the same mistake we made in 2010-2011 season after winning the UCL the team crashed next season. because we did not replenish the team.
1 rwb, 2 mid (back up hakan, replace mhiki), 2 striker 1 for rotation n 1 for back up. n 1 CB to replace acerbi/de vrij
Then let one of Acerbi/De Vrij , Asllani, Darmian,Arnautovic, Correa, and ideally even Taremi leave the team.Yes thanks for their contributions during the difficult times, but on a future prospect they are not gonna perform the same way how they did this year
Best Summary I read of what Inter need to do over the summer.
