Simone Inzaghi has already decided on his starting eleven for the Champions League final between PSG and Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final at the end of this month.
It will be a season-defining match for both teams.
For Inter, it is the second final appearance in the space of just three years. They will be desperate to make up for their 1-0 loss to Manchester City in 2023.
Meanwhile, for PSG it will be their second ever appearance in Europe’s most prestigious club match.
The Parisians have never won the Champions League before. They lost their only other final appearance 1-0 to Bayern Munich in 2020.
Inzaghi Has Already Decided On Starting XI PSG Vs Inter Champions League Final
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has already made his choices on the starting eleven for the Champions League final in Munich.
In goal, it will naturally be Yann Sommer. The Swiss’s heroics have already been key for Inter in their knockout run.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi will go with the back three of Alessandro Bastoni, Francesco Acerbi, and Benjamin Pavard.
Then, in midfield the Nerazzurri coach will give the nod to the trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella.
The Inter coach will start Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries on the flanks.
And in attack, Inzaghi’s choice will be Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
If martinez will start, he should not be too eager to score when his team mate(s) are in a better positon to do it. dont be selfish. i see him finding it difficuilt to score; pls lets pray against it so that it wont cost the team chances of winning the champ. league.
He already has reckoned the Error of 2023 UCL final and since then has made every effort to compensate that. He is contributing more by making other teammates score more. He scored 24 goals last year to celebrate the Scudetto and is contributing immensely in teamwork and scored less goals this year. If we had quality back up for him and Thuram, we would gave seen more goals from him and we could have won the Scudetto by mid April.
He knows about his Error of 2023 UCL final and now playing like a real captain.
I agree ,he did it against Man City Lukaku was all alone ,but he wanted to score from a tight angle and he did it on many other occasions,hope he learned something
