Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Mehdi Taremi in attack and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfield against Lazio. This evening’s Serie A matchday 37 clash kicks off at 20.45 CET.
Inter Milan take on Lazio in Serie A this evening.
And it will be a hugely important match for both teams’ seasons.
Firstly, for Inter it will be vital to take point. The Nerazzurri are just a point behind Napoli at the top of the table – therefore, they must keep the pressure on the league leaders.
Furthermore, if the Partenopei do slip up then Inter could go top of the table right at the decisive moment.

Therefore, Inter would hardly want the regret of failing to capitalize on any dropped points by Napoli.
Meanwhile, Lazio are in a fierce battle for the last remaining Champions League place in the table. Therefore, a result at the San Siro this evening would be massive for them.
Mkhitaryan Starts In Midfield For Inter

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to name a strong team – he’s not simply rotating his squad in view of the Champions League final later this month.
Firstly, the big name on the teamsheet is that of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Mkhitaryan missed last week’s Serie A match against Torino due to a thigh injury. However, he has recovered and has come straight back into the Inter starting eleven.
Therefore, Piotr Zielinski has dropped out of the lineup.
Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella complete the Inter starting eleven alongside Mkhitaryan.
Then, in goal, Yann Sommer comes back in after Josep Martinez had started in league outings against Hellas Verona and Torino.
In front of Sommer, meanwhile, is a back three of Yann Bisseck, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni.
Mehdi Taremi Leads The Line Alongside Marcus Thuram

In attack, Mehdi Taremi keeps his place from last Sunday’s win over Torino.
However, partnering the Iranian international is Marcus Thuram.
Lastly, on the flanks, it is Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries.
Therefore, the likes of Kristjan Asllani, Nicola Zalewski, Carlos Augusto, Stefan de Vrij, Joaquin Correa, and Matteo Darmian all drop to the bench.
Meanwhile, there are two players missing due to injury for Inter. Captain Lautaro Martinez is out with a thigh problem, whilst midfielder Davide Frattesi is still recovering from an abdominal problem.

Conte is superior than Inzaghi and Conte has many ideas to manage the dressing room and try different tactics. That made a difference. It should be Napoli’s season, not Inter’s. Inter needs to focus on the UCL game against PSG only. I am 100% sure that Napoli will beat Cagliari and win scudetto. Inter should preserve the starting IX for the UCL final and do their best against PSG!!!
blame the players. they ask for it.
Maybe it is just me, but it seemed many calls went in favor of Lazio tonight? Thuram was fouled badly inside the box in the first half , replay showed an obvious clip of the leg, but it wasn’t looked by VAR, the Lazio’s first goal was not any less offside than Inter’s third goal, both very close calls, but Inter’s 3rd goal wasn’t even reviewed by the technology and if it was, it wasn’t showed how the Austrian forward was completely offside, his motion was identical to Lazio’s first goal “Moving forward as ball being served”. It seemed the referee/VAR was not consistent with same type of calls on both sides. Taking Taremi out so early when he was actually was doing a lot more than Correa the entire game was a fundamental mistake by Inzaghi.
No need to complain, my friend. I am so upset too, but this Inter has made a series of mistakes since August last year, and the main reason was Inzaghi’s mistake. Inzaghi is not a bad coach, but his ugliness is (i) he does not know any other formation except 3-5-2, (ii) his decision on substitution has always brought problems, (iii) he exhausts a few key players and does not know how to use the others, and (iv) he is not a leader to lift the mentality of players. I agree 100% with Antonio Cassano’s point on coach Inzaghi.
what was darmien doing on the bench? why allowing besseck to stay on the pich that long?
Patrick Vieria and Chivu did so much to inter, yet inter failed to capatalise on it so I guess the CL should be a priority and just give Conte the league after all he is leaving to Juve or Bilan. Conte’s luck so high to the point, he could convert water into Gold. He is just darn lucky. This year Napoli’s Cup will be the last one they will ever see for at least 20 years
He keeps drawing against weaker teams because his team can’t handle the pressure now in the last one they’ll definitely feel the pressure and another draw won’t be enough
It doesn’t matter Caliag has already out of the relegation zone. So, he won’t pay much to the match and he might prefer Napoli to win it. Como’s manager on the other hand would make sure he would win so just for his ego. I am 100% sure Napoli is the Champion.
Actually if inter would have won today, It wouldn’t have changed anything after all inter would have been 2 points ahead of Conte but could lose or draw with COMO and Napoli for sure would have won the last match and be the Champion. Inter had lost the scudetto a few months ago. Those who love to attack me, are still delusional and want to hope inter would win. I am not even going to bother see the last match.
let’s keep be positive. if we can get two trophies, why just limit to one? and yep. we’ve been there, against lazio at a horror night 2002, and also against bologna 2022, yeah the feelings still the same. so just let loose first before the nightmares come!!! lol
If Davide Nicola makes a miracle and defeat Napoli, inter should name a facility after him!
The ref was a bit meh but can’t blame him….
The fault lies with Inzaghi for continuing to select bisseck and Mikhi
Mikhi was absolutely abysmal today
What I don’t think so the ref in the most important call he failed to realise that the ball hitting the arm while behind gives the advantage to the defender because otherwise everytime the ball was hit with the player having arms behind would result in a penalty especially with all on the line. Overall he was terrible but that decision means Inter have essenitally lost the Scudetto by a decision thats 90% of the time it wouldn’t be given. The ref wasn’t bad but criminally bad at that occassion
Bisseck gestured towards the ball. Stop blaming the ref, it was a good call and fair. We still had chances to capitalize but failed to do so
I think not meh is quite an understatement! the number of non existent fouls gone against us in promising situations was ridiculous. and Mhiki was ridiculous.
Maybe we should just blame Parma for not winning ? xD
I really can’t believe what happened, dumb goals conceded, pulling all back, Arna missing ball 3 m… It was just dumb and wasn’t meant for us :/ Fck you Parma for not winning 😀
lol
that arna miss… went for the spectacular when he could have taken the time to finish it. also the offside goal, the whole planet knew he was offside, instead of letting it go in he decides to head in.
how I wish that was Dumfries instead of arna !
this 352 formation is so expired already in serie A, always to slow in transition, we had so much success last week in Torino, but reverting back to this stale formation
Agreed, Inzaghi needs to change tactics. This system of his has been figured out to a large degree. He can’t keep deploying the same outdated tactics forever, though I am not sure if he understands the issue. Also at least 5 new players are needed in the summer, to bring new ideas and skills.
To be honest no tactical changes was going to change the outcome of this match because the ref was beyond terrible like giving a penalty with hands behinds is just diabolical
How many times Dimarco and Dumfries receive the ball and cant continue the ball forward because nobody runs in the channel? Lazio quickly fill up the space and we have to restart everytime, this is the problem, when we played 3421 last week, Zalewski and Correa continue the run in space and we able to capitalize the moment, Zalewski scored from there
bad refereeing, questionable penalty, very very poor Mhiki, exhausted team, waiting too late for subs, extremely bad refereeing all together led to this. that being said sets up for an entralling final day.!! after a long time we gonna have a photo finish.
The ref was the deciding factor I can’t recall the last time a penalty was given when a player puts their hands behind like thats the whole idea but the argument of he moved towards the ball is very weak because otherwise what else was he suppose to do. This scudetto if won like this would be because of the ref because that’s a 50-50 call and in slow motion it will always show the player is moving his arm towards the ball always even tho it was stupid
if we go on to lose the scudetto it will go down to two penalties!
1) the ONLY penalty miss by chala for us against Napoli in the first leg
2) this non existent one.
Chala missing a penalty was overdue but this penalty considering the circumstances means the ref had to go out of his way to overrule a decision because a defender was jumping with his hands behind his back and while that was happening th ball hit their elbow. If his hands are just on his sides then ok but while behind means the ref was waiting for the moment and the moment actually came.
of course, what I was implying was if chala had scored that one inter would have been 3point in front of Napoli right now.
What a waste, can’t believe it, Parma are probably going to be disappointed after all that.
Nima bring back the block option ffs……
..of other users by users, I presume you mean?
yes
extremely unlucky. arna should have buried that one 1 yard away.
THERE IS no hope. I would just give it to Conte. He will win the last match regardless if inter wins or not. I guess No trophy yet Bilan and Juve had better season!
dude.. please go to sleep. if no hope.. stop spewing your negativity here
You expect Call to win? I guess you got no Brain like Fez Bruno and others
if u have one please go and rest it. u have too much negativity oozing out ur pores..
they opened the door – you had it in your hands and one idiot sticks his elbow out.
Bisseck has been to a lot defensive horror show this season it was surprising to see him finish a match with such fine margins when it’s clear the guy is a liability when defending deep. Going forward is good but defending those final minutes he causes more chaos like he did well by putting his hands behind but he was too eager to win it when it wasn’t even a dangerous situation. Still the penalty was harsh because hands being behind removes the opportunity of hitting the ball even by mistake but it was clear the ref was going to take any opportunity to hurt Inter so as soon as he went over to check it then it was over. Still doesn’t change the fact the Bisseck has been a liability through out the season when Inter are defending deep yet the coach are somehow blind and keep using the guy with no experience in those situations
bisseck is still young and is learning. Inzaghi should have got in darmian for bisseck and de vrij for Acerbi the moment we scored the second goal. Mhiki should have been subbed off at half time.
I said many times bisseck ain’t a defender, i would put him over arna or correa as a striker
Correa played a good game, stop hating on him..we created so much more through him. he plays well as an attacking midfielder. he sucks as a striker
Why do people on here blame the ref every single game?? This is absurd. What about the players or the coach? We were average tonight and a bit selfish. The ref did what he had to, it was us who didn’t put this game to bed smh
the refereeing was pathetic, they were given non existent foul whenever we were in very promising places, the penalty was quite questionable the distance the position etc. if u didn’t see how €rap.the penalty was u were probably watching a different game.
It was a penalty. Bisseck was an idiot gesture his elbow towards the ball. A complete fool that cost us 3 points. The ref wasn’t a 10/10 but he wasn’t a deciding factor for this match. Stop blaming refs for our shortcomings
well ur hate blinds you. his hands were tucked behind his back he leaned towards the ball, his hands’extended’ after the ball hit his elbow.
Well, although Inter have had the best team on paper in Italy, we have won only one Scudetto in the last 4 seasons. This one is clearly Napoli’s, and it does not make Inzaghi look good. We had the Scudetto in our hands and threw it more than once in the few last weeks. If we don’t win the UCL, serious questions should be raised about Inzaghi. Repeatedly throwing the Scudetto away can’t be let slip away that easy.
We have too many blind fans and the management seem even more blind to see that we need a step up in our coach. Inzaghi has done all he could. It’s time for change. If we do win UCL then I don’t see us getting rid of him for the next two to three years.
ya, and who do you think would do a better job with this exact team?
It’s not going to be this exact team because another manager would not purchase players to play an outdated, prehistoric 3-5-2 formation that is mostly used by average coaches. We have no pace, wingers or creative players out wide apart from our wide defenders who I feel for because they are doing the work of wingers and defenders. I don’t know how they do it every match. I appreciate and admire their work ethic. As for the coach I’d pick, it would be Mancini.
ok, now apart from Correa tell me which other player Inzaghi purchased. because all others were free transfers or marottas decisions.
Mancini with this team would be fighting for UCL slots at best.
U drunk or something? inter has the best team agreed, but merdentus, bilan, Napoli, Atalanta even fiorentina bought in much better players. our chaps with a n average age of 32 are playing their 57,th match this season! can u comprehend the strain on the body?
I am not drunk, you have a low IQ. Inter clearly have the best team in Italy, no matter what the other teams brought in. It is not just about physical issues; in many games in Italy the team has played without a proper plan, without clear ideas. How can you be in the last few weeks of the Scudetto fight and you can’t score a goal in 2 games in a row? In 4 seasons Inzaghi has just one Scudetto; this season in five games he failed to get a win vs mid-table Milan. If Napoli won game after game I would not mind, but they are playing crappy football and Inter keep throwing the Scudetto away. Anyways, it is clear you can’t grasp facts.
ok, and answer how can u be bad yet have great results against man city, arsenal, bayern, Barcelona. maybe with your high IQ u can see the absurdity of your statement. stop being a blind bat and a hater. u time and again hate on Inzaghi. there’s not one coach in serie a, or in Europe to be honest who could do better with the current squad with our budget for the last ,4 years. Inzaghi has got the team over performing that has made plastic fans like you hate it when things dont go out way. if arna would have scored that, you would be saying something completely different. hypocrisy much?
Aha, nice try with labels. I am not a “plastic fan”, I have been supporting this club since I was a little kid, in good and bad moments.
The performance in the UCL this season does not justify the BS performances in Italy, unless of course as a “real fan” you want a one-trophy team and don’t mind the team repeatedly throwing the Scudetto away in silly and totally avoidable ways. Anyways, it is a waste of time to talk with you. You are blind to see how underperforming Inter have been overall in Italy during Inzaghi’s tenure, and how dumb it is to give a Scudetto to Napoli with your own hands.
Bissek has responsibility for both of the conceding goals, I dont know what happened to De Vrij, Why the fck De Vrij cant replace Bissek??????????????????
because when devrij and Acerbi play together they screw up
cant be worse than the second half Bissek!!!!
Bisseck was unlucky, there I think that was a very questionable penalty. I think he had a fairly decent game.
Our best player, perhaps… until that decision. Questionable indeed, but for some reason I felt the ref would call it. Maybe Wenger has a point about slow-motion VAR penalties…
He has clearly extended his arm tried to stop the ball, so it is a penalty without any doubt.
First goal he stayed too far from the shot, and there is another chance by Dia because he stayed to far from him. He may have a good first half but second half on defense is really really poor. Even the commentator said that.
extended his arm while it was clutched with the other have at the back.? anatomy don’t work that way. he leaned towards the ball, but he was 3 feet away from the shot, he could not do anything else!?
He has responsibility for most goals conceded- he’s always up the pitch out of position leaving his colleagues trying to cover 2 players – they then get blamed, but it’s his fault
Issue is he always gives too much space to the opponent, and not marking well on the setpiece.
Parma held Napoli to a scoreless draw, how could we not take this scudetto in our court today??
Conte will destroy Call 10-0 Congrat Conte for winni9ng
keep up guys. i hope inza can sleep well. and the mentality isnt ruined. focus on next match,
How refs can change the match with no consequences at all.
Solointer you owe me a beer.
Not over yet. Remember Conte couldn’t win against a side fighting for relegation. It’s not over
It is over, done and dusted.
I said day one of the season conte would win this league because, 1. It’s conte and 2. No europe
If we end this season with zero – is that a good year for Inzaghi?! He should have 3 scudettos with this team and he’s only got 1.
Conte needs to win and his players can’t handle the pressure and maybe they’ll a have a ref that hates Napoli like the Inter had today who had one singular goal Lol
I said also for more arguments, Lukaku and most of champions of Spalletti where there. Kvara was alos that time. Solointer will give me credit for prediction.
How it’s not? You expect Napoli to LOSE from Cagliari. I want my beer not no, but next week when we win vice-champion title.
that was the worst ref performance I have seen in a long time!
This is just so fcked up…
WOW conte won it!
Panalty for Napoli I meant
Canceled!
Penalty for Parma
im sorry but i will put the blame solely in inzaghi tonight if we dont get good results. he should sub better bcos we have good subs available at the moment.
It is all over!
I cannot understand why he played Correa in time to put a midfielder to absorb the pressure from Lazio.
Now, Inzaghi is playing to lost.
CONTE is dancing Napoli is the Champion
We were so close.
2-2 and Napoli 1-0 Bye Bye have fun everyone
I guess hands behind your back doesn’t guarantee a penalty not given Lol
I guess 2-2
I hate bisseck so much!!!!!! Why the chicken arms ffs
Come ON Chivu COME ON score against CONTE
Just don’t pull back, play normal guys please !!!
I hope D Milito is watching the match
I love denzel ❤️
dumfries the fkn Goooooat
Dumfries. So many goals scored. Better than Hakimi.
Bisseck scored but i think he had a bad game , im starting to think he aint a good defender ,no matter how many goals he scores, and defending should be his job.
Dont know but the whole serie a season was consistent strugle for us and i just never had the feeling we are favorites to win it.
This could be a second time we bottle it at the end in a space of a few seasons.
Also 2 Scudetto in 5 years dont sound so good when Napoli of all clubs could say the same soon.
I just hope we beat PSG at this point
DD, who else???
DD must win the Ballon D’or
I am not sure he should be our player of the season, but ok… Ballon D’or anyway! lol
and they want to win the CL against Luis Enrique? LOL I guess Conte is dancing cause he is about to socre!
cry louder bitch
Inzaghi: We dominate them in every area of field, hmmm I should pull all back givr Lazuo the ball. Wtf -.-
Lazio is pressuring your team right. What the hell you play Correa, get a another midfielder.
As expected LOL
Yes, expected.
I can’t say it is undeserved, but… why are we playing like this today??
Bruno, your turn.
inzaghi what are you doing? change correa with taremi seems okay, mids seem need a breath, but you subs FB???
Mikhi makes so many mistakes
I have high hopes that Sucic will be able to immediately fit as a starter. Mikhi due to age can’t be a starter anymore.
Inter need to score another goal Lazio are dangerous and this ref is also a risk. Napoli down are mentally down knowing full well they are behind and it’s slipping away. Inter must continue playing and not shut off hoping to protect the lead with 45 minutes to go
Inzaghi will have a soft heart to his former Club. Inter must score three more gaols
I hope Conte loses both matches and end up in the Spanish league
You can tell Giuseppe Marotta wishes and wants to defeat Conte
man, this run of gas after 30 minutes is worrying. left side is like in another dimension. inzaghi knew how to crush someone’s dream with exactly his team 23 years ago. i hope he passes the experiences to the team to learn.
Bisseck is sick in a good way!!!!!!!
Bisseck!!!
Every time this ref, man ♂️
this ref is a clown
if that was theo, im pretty sure it would be a penalty.
Taremi is not convincing at all.
Roma 1- Bilan 0
Can anyone share a reliable stream link? That’s also free?
Bruno and his parters here are watching Napoli’s match because they love Conte. LOL
Bruno, should I think positive? 😛
