Tomorrow is “D-Day” for Simone Inzaghi to decide between rebuilding at Inter Milan, choosing Inter Milan, or even a shock switch to Juventus.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Right now, the uncertainty around Simone Inzaghi’s future at Inter Milan feels overwhelming.
The Nerazzurri’s humbling 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final has raised a massive dark cloud over the club.
And that could lead Simone Inzaghi to leave. If the 49-year-old feels that his cycle is over, he may head for the exit door.
Tomorrow D-Day For Inzaghi – Inter, Al-Hilal, Or Juventus Shock

The wait for things to become clearer won’t be long, though.
According to Tuttosport, tomorrow Inzaghi will meet with the Inter senior management.
Having had a couple days to process the disappointment and shock of the Champions League final, all parties will meet face-to-face to iron out whether they can continue on together.
For Inter’s part, they want to keep Inzaghi. They’ll offer the former Lazio coach a new contract.
However, it will be up to Inzaghi to decide whether he is still able to lead the project.
There is the temptation of a massive money offer from Al-Hilal in the background. It is no secret that the Saudi Pro League club want to tempt Inzaghi.
Then, there could be an even more shocking possibility on the cards.
Juventus had sounded out a move for Inzaghi.
That was with Cristiano Giuntoli as Sporting Director. And he is now gone.
Nevertheless, the Bianconeri are still in search of a new club. And if Inzaghi doesn’t fancy a sabbatical to regroup after the Champions League final, they’d be another option for him.
1- What happened in the final was strange. There was something strange about it that had nothing to do with football. at least this how I feel about the final with the “French team”.
2- I support both AlHilal and Intermilan, but if I had to choose between Inzaghi staying with Inter or joining Al-Hilal, I would choose Inter if there was a promise of rejuvenating the team and building a team capable of competing for a 4th European title.
I did not watch the game but I dont know why there could be so much negativity… seems you are embarrassed by the score too much to the point that you forgot we beat another two best teams in the world by using the same coach, same players, and same tactics. And with a final loss, suddenly everything needs to be changed??? suddenly it seems we are in a bigger crisis than arsenal, manu, and man city… and forgot that we were just one point from serie a champion and one win from ucl champion. Dont get me wrong. i agree we need younger players but i dont agree throwing everything away and adopting PSG approach, which is not feasible at all.
You can’t rejuvenate with Inzaghi. He is stuck in his ways. Inter will become a laughing stork soon…another drubbing coming in the USA if we continue with Inzaghi. We need a totally new formation and younger players. If Marrotta is not careful, his legacy will be buried together with that of Inzaghi. Both have been great so far but there comes a time to part ways.
For me I believe if He will stay to rebuild, he should also be ready to change tactics and switch formations instead of the constant 3-5-2. Secondly the team should be overhauled with decent replacements and reliable back ups cos most of the back ups on ground are not reliable. And Inter should invest and get more quality, proven , and younger players
Anything other than that a step towards a change should be taken then.
We need a new coach with fresh ideas, this is for sure. We can’t keep going after pure strikers, midfielders and defenders. Inzaghi does not and will not bring any new ideas next season. He is stuck in his ways and nothing will change his mind. I have watched all our games; we don’t press well, we don’t have pace, we continue making the same subs, we lack creativity and pace (big time), we don’t have one player in the team that is explosive or is able to take on defenders 1 on1. Teams that have beaten us usually press us on the wings where we are most dangerous and last but not least we don’t utilize any wingers or different formations. Also for anyone who is going to say the coach used what’s at his disposal. Tell me who asks the directors for the players to suit his formation and style of play?!
wtf, inzaghi believe it or not, like it or not that im often got shocked by his tactics, he still didn’t get a big chance to coach with a high material squads, comparing to other clubs, in Italy or in Europe. if we replace him, then we will start from scratch again. if he will be judged more fairly, judge him like ten haag in MU, or motta in juventus, judge him with a fair team. give him who he needs, then demand him quadruple for next season (which i sitll am unsure of Oaktree)
One thing is for sure- we need to know, and we need to know now!!! A rebuild will be pointless unless we know who is in charge, and what kind of players/formation they will want….
And then there’s the small matter of the Club World Cup, starting in less than 2 weeks!!! Our last shot at any sort of salvation this season…..
Shock Juve switch. Fabregas in, Nico Paz included.
