Simone Inzaghi is leaving his decision on his future at Inter Milan to the eleventh hour, with Cesc Fabregas and Roberto De Zerbi contacted as replacements.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews. He reports on air that the 49-year-old is still undecided, leaving the Nerazzurri in suspense.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi finds himself at a crossroads.
Reportedly, the former Lazio coach will meet with the Nerazzurri hierarchy tomorrow. This will be the decisive meeting regarding his future.
Inzaghi could leave Inter after four years in charge. He will have to decide on whether the Nerazzurri project is still right for him.
Inter want to keep the 49-year-old at the helm. They will offer him a new contract.
However, the Champions League final humiliation at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain has laid bare the scale of the rebuild Inter require.
Moreover, Al-Hilal have reportedly offered Inzaghi an absolutely massive money deal if he jumps ship.
Inzaghi Leaves Inter Decision To 11th Hour – Inter Contact Fabregas & De Zerbi

Everything will therefore come down to what Inzaghi decides in tomorrow’s meeting.
However, Di Marzio reports that the 49-year-old is still far from making up his mind. He is still considering all the factors, from the transfer market rebuilt required this summer to Al-Hilal’s gargantuan financial offer.
However, Di Marzio reports, what’s clear is that Inzaghi still has to make his decision. He will leave that right down to the wire.
In the meantime, the Sky transfer expert anticipates, Inter have made considerations about an eventual replacement for Inzaghi.
One possibility would be Como’s Cesc Fabregas. And another is Marseille coach Robeto De Zerbi.
In neither case have Inter made any official contacts regarding getting either of the two coaches out of their deals, Di Marzio reports.
However, Inter have made initial inquiries with the representatives of both. They are trying to convince both about the viability of their project moving forward.
LET’S GET BACK TO BORING STYLE. IF INZAGHI LEAVES, WE’RE BACK TO DARK AGE FOR SURE.
Why no one is mentioning Mourinho.
he’s no longer mourinho we knew. he has lost his touch and magic
I agree. Run the Special One back,!!!!
Once the reality starts to set in people will realise with the same squad no other serie a coach would even finish in the top 4. The squad was playing with all they’ve got but clear obvious limits were there…. Players like Mikhi and Acerbi were core players simply because the alternatives were much much worse. It was also clear after the final Inter would need to change the model and reduce the average age of the squad but now it’s a must to do a complete revolution of the squad with more players leaving
it’s really sad people dont see this. After Inzaghi leaves people will realise that 2 champions league finals in 3 years is outstanding with this limited squad set, Think of other squads, Liverpool, Man city, bayern, real Madrid, etc would anyone honestly put our squad in this bracket, we have no decent attacking options on the bench, no pace, dribbling and yes he lost serie a twice by 1 point margins, because we were trying to win all trophies, what’s wrong with that? At the end of the day, the final result performance was 50% on the manager and yes he failed miserably, but this team has a good core of players. If he goes we move on, sign a new manager (Fabregas and then opt for younger players)
Exactly no other manager with the same squad can achieve what he did. Inter need creative, fast and reliable players and someone like Fabregas can actually do something with young players in which to be honest Inzaghi will never trust them and it’s something that will always hurt him in the end
if Inzaghi leaves, which I obviously don’t want. instead of the names floating around I want us to bring back Stramachioni. yes he’s not made it on the big stage..yet.. but he’s an interista, and he was the one who managed to take banter era inter to rube and best them there! might seem like a hail Mary pass.. but I think he will do well with us
hahahahaa. All Fake inter milan fans attacked me when I said inter will be trophyless and PSG will win 5-0. They even had the aduacity to hide like inter the losers they are. Chivu, Vieria all gave inter a chance to win the Scudetto but to no avail. Ex inter players and managers as I stated (you can go back and read my comments) dismantled inter: Hakimi, Lukauku, Conte and Luis Enrique got revenge for Barca. What a terrible club inter is now. If you want beat stupid ac milan and juventus’s record in CL higher a proven managers and spend money. I hope inter will will the CL soon.
If Inzaghi leaves, we need someone who is Interista. Chivu’ is the best option.
inter needs a manager who can win CL and winning the CL is a must within the upcoming 1-2 years.
please give us insight about the coach that can make inter win CL in 1 or 2 years other than inzaghi, he has proven he could bring inter to be in the final twice in three years, always go into knockout stage. lost in only a goal margin
he doesnt whine like you,, he doesnt create tension between players, easily downplay bad rumors, he defended criticism for his players, he plays almost everyone, he never whines about transfer in or out
you think this is football manager game?
n i want to ask you please answer honestly
during inter banter era from 2012-2018/2019
how did you feel?
Fabregas in with Nico Paz included
