Inter Milan are ready to pounce in the event that Valencia do not tie defender Cristhian Mosquera down to a new contract.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are reportedly eyeing up a move for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.
The Nerazzurri will have to do some defensive restyling this summer. The likes of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij certainly aren’t getting any younger.
Moreover, Yann Bisseck could also leave as likes of Manchester United and West Ham United are reportedly interested.
And Mosquera is among the players to have very much entered Inter’s sights in this respect.
Inter Ready To Pounce If Valencia Don’t Extend Deal Of Cristhian Mosquera

One of the main reasons why Inter Milan see Mosquera as a viable target is his contract situation.
As things stand, the Spaniard’s deal with Valencia runs out at the end of next June.
Therefore, this summer looks to be a decisive crossroads for the defender. Valencia won’t want to lose him on a free transfer in twelve months’ time, so they must either lock him down or sell him.
Valencia are doing everything they can to agree a new deal with Mosquera. In that case, of course, he would no longer be on the market.
However, Inter are waiting patiently to see whether this transpires, reports the Corriere. And if it does not, they can move quickly.
