In his second match in charge, Inter coach Cristian Chivu has made four changes.
In goal, though, there are no surprises – Yann Sommer takes up his usual starting place.
Then, in defense, Stefan de Vrij replaces Francesco Acerbi in the middle of a back three along with Carlos Augusto and Matteo Darmian.
Luis Henrique Starts For The First Time

Meanwhile, the most notable name on the teamsheet is that of Luis Henrique.
The Brazilian wingback had already come off the bench for Inter against Monterrey. However, this evening he makes his first start for Inter after joining from Marseille earlier this month.
Next, in midfield, Nicolo Barella and Kristjan Asllani keep their places for Inter.
However, Henrikh Mkhitaryan drops to the bench.
Sebastiano Esposito & Nicola Zalewski Start Behind Lautaro Martinez

At left-wingback, meanwhile, Federico Dimarco starts.
Then, Inter coach Chivu has switched to a 3-4-2-1 formation. Therefore, rather than a strike partnership, there are two attacking midfielders playing behind Lautaro Martinez.
The two players who flank the Inter captain are Sebastiano Esposito and Nicola Zalewski.
In terms of injuries, meanwhile, Inter are without all of Yann Bisseck, Benjamin Pavard, Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu, Davide Frattesi, Piotr Zielinski, and Marcus Thuram.
Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi remains in his home country of Iran. The 32-year-old has been unable to travel to the US due to the closure of Iranian airspace amid the escalating conflict with Israel.

It was good and also important that we won; every difficult game against a team that was defending hard, but this was a must win.
Chivu needs to see who don’t belong in this team (asslani) soon so we can get rid of the deadwood.
For the CWC I expect us to be at least in quarterfinals, anything other is a major disappointment. Let’s get the win in the last group game
Damn, I missed the good part. I only watched the first half thought gonna be another bad game. But turns out second half captain and youngsters stepped up. Nice story and good game.
How was that a „good game“? It was horrible – almost lost instead of winning 10-0.
guys relax and trust the process, many players will be gone this transfer season -Asslani, Acerbi or De Vrij(probably Acerbi), Bisseck(to bring fresh CAPITAL GAIN), if Galatasaray cant take Osimhen(they cant afford him), they will buy Hakan and we will see what will happen next… changes are coming this transfer season and they will be big.
That’s good news
Our boys just made $2 million
yes! oaktree can pay off the bonds faster. doesn’t look like they are gonna invest in the team amyway
They got Henrique and Susic’. Hoping Beppe can push them to spend more. Maybe 1 more striker, 1 midfielder to replace Cahal/Aslani and 1 Defender to replace Darmian.
Bony M is a done deal, only remain to be seen if we will pay full cash or cash +Sebastiano , and we are also out of the race for Leoni(Milan and Tothenham overtake us)
Now I hope he will have “Daddy Cool” back on his jersey!
honestly , I dont see nothing special about Zalewsky and I dont understand the hype people here give him…
I think it goes to say how bad and slow some of our players have been that an ordinary speedster looks special. that being said zalewski has age on his side. he at least tries to take on defenders, which no one else does. I wonder if Buchanan is gonna come back he’s on fire for Canada.
He is young and legs that can last whole match give him a chance he will come good
I have big hopes for berenbruch, carboni and pio. I hope chivu can keep and play them in the Copa and slowly integrate them into first team football. I can’t stand to see Mhiki starting ever again. even sommer should not finish this season as our number one. we really need to upgrade our squad.
Exactly.. Slowly integrate… Or quickly do so if they merit a place… Other teams use teenagers without hesitation when they have certain qualities, or perhaps based on attitude and performance on training… This almost never happens in modern day serie a… Ooh well… Whatever… people eventually do as they please…
i dont understand what people here expect Chivu to do for 10 days ?? when most of the times players were training on low intensity because they are tired as shit… we should terminate darmian contract ! sell asslani ASAP , use sebastiano to lower the price of Bony M 😀
Sell Asllani yes but Darmian is good in just covering positions decently when key players are injured whats expected of Darmian is what he’s delivering so far. The same can’t be said for Asllani and for years now. Inter now have Susic, Carboni and Frattesi who can all play in midfield at different roles. Even Zalewski who was deployed in a bad role is still above Asllani.
I almost forgot Hakan is key in this midfield regardless of the system but if he should be the one to be sacrificed to get another decent player then it’s ok for him to leave. The real worry is Chivu like Inzaghi seems to think Asllani is vice Hakan which is dangerous which means Hakan staying will probably save the next season because the idea of Asllani starting every match is a nightmare. He’s a good player but he has proven he should be playing at Empoli level I keep remember how Gaglia was bad but kept getting used by different managers to get the same stale performance which is the same situation with Asllani
Asslani will be gone this transfer season, we are just advertising him , so he accommodate more interest, not only lazio and Fiorentina, hopefully some EPL teams too
That would be good I think if Inter gets a penalty he ‘s the one to take it if he’s on the field which will help in getting other teams interested.
Well you can say what you want about Chivu or the players, but at least he has the balls to threw in youngsters when we are goin down. Something Inzaghi would never even think about. Hats off,Christian. With time the play will be even better, that said, also the young players will finally gain confidence and we can capitalize from them. Dominant play, good job. Defence needs to be fixed, to not concede goals, and clinical finishing.
lol. I think chivu did not have a choice, it was either the youngsters or zanetti and kolarov. lol
Fair enough.. Let’s see whether he will do same in serie a and UCL….
i hope we never see asslani play for us again !
pio and carboni gonna be useful watch out mentality is back.
Luis Henrique is good and brings something different from Dumfries. Once he understands that when in dangerous positions he should deliver a cross rather than constant cut backs then he will truly be devastating but he can take on a player on his side allowing other Inter players to join in the attack rather than Dumfries who will go back. However when Dumfries decides to take on his player in dangerous position he’s not afraid to shoot or cross even if there’s one player inside the box. Sucic deserves a chance I think because simply Asllani is not what Inter need hopefully Sucic can bring something different.
We need the other player from Canada. I forgot his name but if we have these two on either wings along with Di Marco and Dumfries as LB and RB respectively in a 4-3-3. It’s going to be trouble and I am here 100% for it.
