Francesco Pio Esposito is likelier to stay at Inter Milan this summer than Valentin Carboni.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have travelled to the United States with a couple of notable young players in tow.
The likes of Francesco Pio Esposito and Valentin Carboni are both part of the Nerazzurri’s squad at the Club World Cup this summer.
And both had big parts to play in the Nerazzurri’s late comeback win over Urawa Red Diamonds this weekend.
It was actually Carboni who scored Inter’s winning goal in stoppage time.
Moreover, it seems likely that the young duo could get their chances in Inter’s final group stage match at the tournament. Watch Inter Milan vs River Plate for FREE with DAZN on any device!
Pio Esposito Likelier To Stay At Inter Than Carboni

After the end of the tournament, however, Inter will have to make a decision about the futures of Pio Esposito and Carboni.
Both young players will naturally be hoping to use the Club World Cup to make their case to stay at Inter.
But according to the Corriere della Sera, one of the pair would have a particular chance of doing so.
The newspaper anticipate that Pio Esposito really could stay at Inter this summer.
On the other hand, it is less likely that Carboni would stick around. Even in spite of his late heroics against Urawa Red Diamonds.
Pio is a beast in the making. He is so strong and only 19, very aggressive off the ball, always looking to be passed the ball Unlike the passive Taremi. and as much as we cross we need more finishers in the air in our forward line. We only had lauti last season out of the 4 forwards we had, None of the others were good in the air.
Ones a striker and ones an attacking midfielder so why can’t we keep both? I think Carboni especially should be given a chance as a 1.5 starter.
We should keep both, without question!! Pio for striking depth, and Carboni, as he offers something different to our other midfielders… he has a good eye for a pass, and isn’t afraid to shoot from outside the box… he’s the closest thing to a number 10 we have!! I’m also increasingly wary about Oaktree spending any money once we sign Bonny….
