Cristian Chivu’s appointment could convince Davide Frattesi to drop the idea of leaving Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the managerial change has changed the Italian’s mind.
Heavily linked with a move to Roma in January, Davide Frattesi rejected the move and nearly won the Champions League with Inter.
Yet, his first-team opportunities under ex-manager Simone Inzaghi were at a premium.
Therefore, many expected the 25-year-old to leave the San Siro at the end of the season.
However, Chivu’s arrival has flipped the script.
Davide Frattesi No Longer Desperate to Leave Inter Milan

Frattesi has always felt comfortable in the Nerazzurri locker room despite limited playing time.
But like every other elite athlete, the Italy international aspires to play a leading role on the pitch, not just be a supporting act.
Chivu’s vision for the new Inter could be just what the doctor orderer.
Unfortunately, Cristian Chivu has been without the former Sassuolo midfielder in Inter’s first two Club World Cup games.
As things stand, Frattesi will also miss the upcoming clash against River Plate due to injury.
He needs to play as a CAM. Otherwise it is pointless to keep and play him as a CM.
I agree with this, or even as a sub for striker.
More than happy for Frattesi to stay… goal scoring midfielders aren’t easy to find…. just frustrated that he’s been injured at a time when he could be making a big impression on Chivu, especially as he should be way fresher than our other midfielders, given his lack of playing time….
I’m glad he’s staying. That means he will be a starter over the old granpa. He will be very useful for inter. Yes he can have his ups and downs, we need to show patience. Forza inter.
he’s better not playing if he takes crucial role mhiki has. inzaghi put him in midfield many times as starter and he failed miserably. when he came in as supersub, lauti needed to drop back even further to give him space to overlap so he could lead the front with thuram. dude just can’t defend and his pass ain’t great, but is ideal shadow striker
This is good news tbh. I see people saying he can only score and do nothing else which is not true from what I’ve seen when he was at sassuolo. If hes given a full time chance in a tactic where you don’t defend for 80% of the match, he will have more of the ball to play with. I want to see whether he will be more creative when playing in high possession football. If so, he will be a great duo with Barella in midfield while Susic play as a holding midfielder.
