Luis Henrique has made two appearances for Inter Milan at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
However, per Tuttosport via FCInterNews, there’s ample room for improvement.
Inter signed Luis Henrique earlier this month from Olympique Marseille for a reported fee of €23 million.
Despite being given little time to adapt to the new surroundings, Cristian Chivu used Henrique in both Group E matches.
Indeed, the 23-year-old came on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against CF Monterrey.
While his maiden appearance brimmed with confidence, the Brazilian struggled against Urawa Reds.
Inter Milan Star Luis Henrique Must Improve Defensively

Brought on as a winger, Henrique must adjust to a new role at the San Siro.
Indeed, he’ll occupy a wingback position in Chivu’s 3-5-2 formation.
With Denzel Dumfries struggling for fitness, Henrique had a chance to quickly establish himself in the new environment.
However, he squandered it last time out.
In addition to several sloppy plays in possession, he proved unreliable in defense.
Urawa tormented Inter on counters, and the ex-Botafogo man couldn’t handle the pressure.
I think we need to show patience for our players. They must’ve been tired when having to prepare for match every 3 days. And its not just us, many football clubs aroud the world can relate to this.
True, but i also think that he won’t improve much in defence, he is clearly a right winger. We already have players with who we can play in formation 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1. On left side we have Dimarco and Zalewski, who are both good in attack but liability in defence. Strikers Lautaro, Bonny and Thuram who can cover also right side with Luis. Am Frattesi, Carboni, we need 1 more on each position of right and left back with Dumfries and Carlos
in other words, you want him to leave lmao. he was signed to compete in dumfries role. pavard could play RB if chivu played 4 at the back that means there’s no room for him to play you think lol.
today’s squad can adapt to several formations so he doesn’t need to completely change his form, but he MUST learn how to defend no matter what position he’d play in
No, i’m saying that he should play on position that he can play best at, same happened with Frattesi, he was regular at national team but Inzaghi wouldn’t let him start games. In deffence abysmal, but if he had played behind strikers and more regularly, he would’ve been our 3rd best goalscorer
Okay lets be very clear. Chivu and the players entered this tournament without proper rest or any training camps to learn Chivus football. Henrique joined Inter was not given time to adapt yet, so I would restrain from being too critical of him or any other new players.
