Francesco Pio Esposito has earned the trust of new Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu and will stay at San Siro next season.
Per Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the 19-year-old striker will be part of the Nerazzurri squad for the 2025/26 season.
Despite intense speculation linking him with numerous Serie A clubs, Francesco Pio Esposito will stay at Inter.
Furthermore, Inter’s decision to keep the youngster probably means Mehdi Taremi will soon pack his bags.

Esposito enjoyed a remarkable breakout season at Spezia last term.
Indeed, he netted 19 goals in Serie B, helping the Aquilotti secure a place in the promotion playoffs.
However, Spezia’s loss to Cremonese in the semi-finals spelled the end of Esposito’s adventure at Stadio Alberto Picco.
Although many expected the teenage sensation to leave Inter for regular first-team action, Chivu has other plans.
Instead of departing for another loan, Esposito will fight for his place at San Siro after impressing the ex-Parma coach.
He scored in his first start for Inter last night as Chivu’s side dispatched River Plate 2-0 at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Regards the Bonny and Hjoilund rumours what doesn’t make sense of these both is their type of striker i.e. big physical and technical forward.
Pio himself is that type of striker too and we already have Marcus which is 4 * big technical strikers and Lautaro.
I think it’s only one of Bonny and Hjoilund, but that’s still Lautaro + 3 bigger and physical strikers, so no true Lautaro rotation option, much like last season with Lautaro and then the three of Marcus, Marko and Mehdi.
All this seems to make keeping S. Esposito a genuine (no cost) option unless he won’t re-sign up. His numbers too were better than Bonny’s.

If we get Bonny he can get Taremi mins, He and Pio should be our backups with Carboni or sebastian if he stays (doubtful) as the 5TH if injuries pile up. we dont need to waste money on more strikers just one new face is enough.

I’m all for trusting youth, and giving Chivu the time he needs…. The Scudetto would be great, but most certainly is not a must!
Napoli are strengthening their squad significantly, and as much as I can’t stand him, Conte has won 6 league titles as a coach…. Napoli start next season as favourites, without question… we’ll just have to hope we can cause an upset….
Napoli’s team is inferior to ours by a considerable degree. We lost last season bc Inzaghi overrelied on old men and used the wrong system. If Chivu trusts on our fresh youngsters and uses a 3-2-1-2 system, the Scudetto is ours.
If we get Leoni and a young, energetic midfielder to inject further fresh quality to the team, it is even better.

last season we should have won the league without question, but expecting Chivu to win the Scudetto in his first full season of Coaching is asking too much… if he does, then great, and we may have discovered the next super coach, but it’s unfair to expect him to do it….
One does not need to be a super coach to win the Scudetto with this Inter, even in the first full season of coaching. Inzaghi was too naive to lose 3 Scudettos in 4 seasons.
That being said, I am not saying that we should blame Chivu if he doesn’t win the Scudetto. A top 4 spot, i.e. UCL spot, would be enough. My point is that we clearly have the best team in Italy, and this should be made use of.

IMO it would be better to play Sucic in a double pivot as he is suitable to play there too. Frattesi and Carboni, unless played as AM behind the strikers, are not of much use.
