Francesco Pio Esposito won’t just be the “fifth striker” at Inter Milan next season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews. They report that the 19-year-old will get his share of playing time for the Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of striker Francesco Pio Esposito.
The young striker will not go out on loan against next season. Rather, he is set to remain a part of the Inter squad.
The Nerazzurri feel that the teenager has shown enough in his performances at the Club World Cup. They believe that he is ready to start playing a role in the first team.
Francesco Pio Esposito Won’t Be The “Fifth Striker” For Inter Milan

And according to La Repubblica, Francesco Pio Esposito won’t just be a backup in the squad to be used occasionally.
Inter are keeping the 19-year-old in the expectation of him playing a significant role in the squad.
That means that Pio Esposito will get regular playing time.
The Italy Under-21 international will enter the attacking rotations along with the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and new signing Ange-Yoan Bonny.
Then, it is not yet certain whether Mehdi Taremi will be staying at Inter.
Inter are involved in so many competitions and Inzaghi actually managed to rotate the squad enough to keep them within reach of all of them. So if Chivu adopts a similar rotation but instead use young potential players then this guy will definitely grow. Like what growth were Inter expecting from using Taremi, Correa and Arna but with players like Pio he would actually benefit a lot both with his confidence and value of Inter’s squad.
I agree with you there. Taremi and Arnautovic got a decent amount of playing time although it did not seem like it cause they barley made any impact. I think Pio and Bonny will replacing them in that manner but potentially playing more since it showed last season that Lautaro and Thuram were getting injuries due to playing too much.
Let his performance on the pitch determine his position amongst the striker’s. Also, Lautaro Martinez and Thurman need stiff competition compared to what we saw last season.
Forza Pio Esposito.
As things stand, he should be 3rd choice, and if he proves to be as clinical as we’re all hoping, that could change over the course of time…. we’ve been lacking a true goal poaching number 9 for some time- let’s hope we’ve got our man!!
he’s not that kind of striker. I guess people forgot it was lauti who played that role until he drops deep.
not thuram– but def taremi he must go and should of been let go alredy
He will the 3rd striker for Inter and replace Thuram next season.
yup free replacement for thuram
except thuram was free
