Midfielder Petar Sucic has been “revving up the engine” after a couple of early false starts with Inter Milan at the Club World Cup.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
The expectations have been high for Petar Sucic at Inter Milan.
The 21-year-old midfielder only just joined the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb. And he has yet to really play at the level that he will at Inter.
However, Sucic has impressed heavily in the last couple seasons for Dinamo.
Moreover, the Croat has also looked up to the task in midfield for the national team.
Petar Sucic “Revving Up The Engine” For Inter Milan

In his first appearance for Inter, Petar Sucic came off the bench in the team’s Club World Cup group stage opener against Monterrey.
In truth, that performance showcased little of the Croatian international’s best qualities.
Sucic looked hesitant, offering little in possession and not providing much of a defensive presence.
Then, there were improvements in the 21-year-old’s second substitute appearance of the tournament, against Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds.
Then, Sucic’s display against River Plate was his best yet. The Croat assisted Francesco Pio Esposito for the decisive second half goal.
This capped off a display that saw Sucic really start to take risks with the ball.
Totally agree. A strong enforcer would likely get us more out of fratessi barella and/or sucic, who looks like a real gem to be.
God bless you for that comment. i have said it that brozo was solely missed, a forward thinking midfielder; hold onto the ball without lossing it under pressure. no player with such skill set at inter now. under inzaghi, too much kick and follow – boring horinzontal play. i miss brozo!
Yea I agree with you. I want to see a proper buildup play from midfield. There were too many back and side passes in defence and then to pass to the wingbacks for crosses. We need to utilise our midfield more for creativity in the middle. The Esposito goal was the buildup play that lead to a goal which I wanted to see.
Brozovic literally went backwards more than hakan,
Honestly the small amount I’ve seen of sucic he looks like he can also turn a pace and beat a man,
Something we have lacked for a lot longer than since brozo left.
I hope we use him (and frattesi) this year and they are trusted that if they have one game where they don’t get MOTM we don’t revert to 37yr old Mikhi lol
love sucic, but what we really really need is an enforcer in midfield. someone tall who can challenge for headers and is not afraid to tackle. someone with a gattuso profile. nico, sucic, chala, aslani, fratessi, mhiki all our mid are talented, but not the enforcer type. with chivus plan we sorely miss a forward passing brozo
We been missing Epic Broz ever since he left. Yes Hakan has been great in his position but he was never close to what Brozo offered in terms of defending, Brozo was a beast at intercepting passes and tackling and could run 2 full games in a row if need be.
