Genoa are reportedly interested in signing young Inter Milan and Argentina attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni on loan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is currently back at the Nerazzurri.
The 20-year-old is part of the Inter squad at the Club World Cup.

Carboni has fully recovered from an ACL tear that he suffered in October. That injury had ruled him out of the majority of last season.
The Argentine had initially joined Marseille on loan last summer. Reportedly, the French club had a purchase option, whilst Inter had a buyback option.
However, the ACL injury completely disrupted any progress Carboni had been making.
Genoa Interested In Inter Midfielder Valentin Carboni On Loan

Now the question is whether Carboni will go on loan again, or stay at Inter.
The Argentine has made appearances at the Club World Cup. And he in fact scored the winner in stoppage time against Urawa Red Diamonds, his first senior goal for Inter.
Therefore, it seems entirely possible that Cristin Chivu will give Valentin Carboni his chance next season.
But on the other hand, it could also be another loan out for Carboni, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Monza.
And according to Tuttosport, Genoa are keen on the 20-year-old’s signature this summer.
i will keep him and sell frattessi, fratessi has bigger market value and his sale will help us get another player, loaning carboni out will not help us at all
This is a difficult one. I am not sure how much playing time Carboni will get at Inter. He did score a really important goal this tournament but other than that he hasn’t shown much of an impact. If he is guaranteed playing time in Genoa, we should loan him out but if not we should use him as a rotation in attacking midfield along with Frattesi.
Apart from the goal he hasn’t shown much, but he is a young guy returning from a long injury. With a full pre-season with the team he can become ready to play as an AM rotating with Frattesi.
I don’t think Frattesi is suited for AM role. Guy can’t string two passes together. His biggest quality is arriving in the box at just the right time. AM also needs to be good on the ball which is another Frattesi weakness. I would cash on him right now whilst his stock is still relatively high.
