Antonio Cassano feels that Simone Inzaghi “destroyed” Inter Milan and then joined Al-Hilal for the money.
The former striker didn’t hold back in his views on the former Nerazzurri coach on the Viva el Futbol podcast, via FCInter1908.
Former Inter Milan and Italy striker Antonio Cassano has never been shy to criticize Simone Inzaghi.
For the four seasons that the 49-year-old former Lazio coach was at the helm of the Nerazzurri, Cassano would nearly constantly fault with his work at the club.
And now that Inzaghi has decided to leave Inter, Cassano is not too broken up to see him gone. Nor has Inzaghi’s choice of destination particularly impressed the former Italian international.
Antonio Cassano: “Simone Inzaghi Destroyed Inter & Joined Al-Hilal For Money”

Former Inter striker Cassano lambasted “everyone who passed Inzaghi off for a genius, a phenomenon.”
“In four years, he destroyed Inter,” he went on.
“Today we can draw a line and say what he did: he destroyed Inter.”
“He won one league title out of four,” Cassano continued. “And he tossed three of them down the toilet.”
Then, Cassano declared that Inzaghi “took the p*ss out of everyone, even at Inter.”
“He already had an agreement with Al-Hilal. Then it came out in the last few days.”
“And the biggest joke from him, which maybe he tries to make other people believe but not me, is that he was already following the Arab league, and that he wanted to have an experience abroad.”
“Are you kidding me?!” Cassano had little patience for Inzaghi’s explanation of his choice.
“You went to get the €25 million a year!” said the former striker to Inzaghi. “You went for the money”
“You already had an agreement before the final, and then he signed.”
i hate what everything he say before, but now i agree, his word is myrepresentative voice with long reach audience …he is right and to be honest, everything just lip service from f*oaktree, from marotta, the from the loser traitor inzaghi …he ruin 2 tittle because he is not a winner
Cassano the ‘has been’ and ‘never was!
He’s right about him going for Money. And don’t get me wrong, the coach had his limitations. But you cannot dispute his record in the Champions League, probably the best we’ve had behind Jose Mourinho in the competition. We had many years of struggling to get out of the group stages. It was the right time for us to bring in Chivu.
Whatsoever meds Cassano is high on needs to be studied.
If inzaghi stayed, Casssano would blame him for not resigning
Of course he joined Hilal for the money, but how can a coach with over 64% of wins can destroy a club?
I agree with him about leaving for money and he nearly screwed us over for jeep us in the dark until last minute, but luckily Chivu seems like a good manager. I wasn’t a fan of Inzaghis philosophy of football so I don’t have an issue that he left. Now we can get some excitement on seeing talents play.
Lmao I love Cassano man… I barely disagree with any of his takes but I hope he gives Chivu a chance and not go in on him like he did with Inzaghi lol
Cassano runs his mouth more than he ran on the field. Always yapping but never doing anything.
Hey Antonio, why don’t you take a managerial job and put your big mouth to the test. He won’t because he’s always been lazy as an excuse for his failure.
