Galatasaray are reportedly divided behind the scenes in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Italian outlet FCInterNews, report that there are two internal currents among the Istanbul giants’ hierarchy regarding whether to pursue Calhanoglu.
There is certainly no doubt that Galatasaray are keen to sign Hakan Calhanoglu.
There are reports that the Turkish giants have already approached the 31-year-old. They have made clear to the player that they are ready to offer him a contract.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray have not made an offer to Inter yet. But they know that the Nerazzurri certainly won’t be letting Calhanoglu go for cheap.
Galatasaray Internally Divided On Hakan Calhanoglu Pursuit

FCIN report that Hakan Calhanoglu has not asked Inter for a transfer to Galatasaray, despite some reports indicating as much.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, FCInterNews report that Galatasaray Vice-President Ibrahim Hatipoglu is pushing for a move for Calhanoglu – as well as Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan.
On the other hand, another Galatasaray Vice-President, Abdullah Kavukcu, has already moved onto other targets.
Kavukcu feels that a move for Calhanoglu is not realistic. Therefore, he isn’t focusing efforts on trying to sign the former AC Milan midfielder.
In the end, everything could very well come down to the decision of Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek.
Ozbek could keep pushing to try and make the transfer happen. Or, he could decide that it is out of reach and look to sign other midfielders instead.
Whether we sell him for 40mil or keep him, its a win win situation either way.
Better keep him. Next season we can refresh our midfield with a quality buy and probably also Stankovic. This summer the club has already spent over 70 mln and a CB has not been bought yet.
We don’t need a CB or any other defender for that matter
lol no. we absolutely need a CB. crazy to see we still rely on darmian and bisseck with unchanged discipline at defending. I guess nobody dislikes darmian. he was good, not anymore. against physically opponents, our defenders might have a chance, but against technically gifted players, it’d be absolute nightmare
we had palacios, where is he?
That’s right we definitely need a new fresh CB as that was our downfall this past season, I’d be surprised if we go into next season without a new defender.
