Inter Milan could make an ambitious move for Como midfielder Nico Paz in the event that Hakan Calhanoglu leaves this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are bracing for the possibility of a Hakan Calhanoglu exit this summer.
Therefore, if Calhanoglu is to depart, Inter will look for an adequate replacement.
There are a couple of names on Inter’s radar in this respect.
One would be Lazio’s Nicolo Rovella. The Nerazzurri have reportedly lined up the 23-year-old as an ideal like-for-like replacement for Calhanoglu.
Meanwhile, Atalanta midfielder Ederson is another name on Inter’s shortlist in midfield. However, the Brazilian won’t come cheap – La Dea want €60 million for him according to the Gazzetta.
Inter Could Make Nico Paz Swoop If Calhanoglu Leaves

However, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, there is another possibility.
The Milan-based newspaper anticipates that Inter may not try to replace Hakan Calhanoglu like-for-like at all.
Rather, the Nerazzurri could invest a fee for the Turkish international in a different type of midfielder.
It is no secret that Cristian Chivu is working to change Inter’s formation. Rather than a 3-5-2 with a midfield trio, the Romanian is keen to set Inter up in a 3-4-2-1 shape.
This would mean that there is more room for attacking midfielders.
And Como midfielder Nico Paz is a player with the ideal profile to play in a system like that.
Paz is certainly one of Inter’s dream targets. The Nerazzurri have been drooling over a move for the 20-year-old Argentine international for many months now.
Of course, signing Paz would represent a significant challenge for Inter. Not least considering the buyback clause that Real Madrid have on the Como midfielder.
However, if Inter do bring in a big transfer fee for Calhanoglu, they would be ready to try for it, reports the Gazzetta.
How many of these bullshit do we have to see. There are litterally no progress made over the last dozens of articles about Paz. I am getting the same vibe of Inter trying to build a stadium or some shit.
